Next I chose 2 songs from their first mini album Funiverse that was released in 2020. The first is the lead single "Fishing King" which the song lyrically is interesting as it literally mentions all sorts of fish they plan on catching and it's literally just a song about fishing honestly but it's catchy! Plus don't we all love Catallena by Orange Caramel??
The next song is DDANCE. The song is pretty straightforward lyrically about wanting everybody to get up and dance. The highlight is just the nice production and beat/rhythm. They add some fun elements to production like synths, it's a nice track.

Fishingirls (피싱걸스) is a indie rock band that formed in 2013 and started releasing music professionally in 2016. They are still active to this day, they released an album this year. They've released 1 full length album, 2 minis and over 10 digital singles. So we're gonna a quick skim of their discography. I would overall say their music is very upbeat pop rock, they have a few cutesy folk type songs in their early career, they sometimes come off Punk Rock as well on some tracks, more so on their recent album. Most songs, however, have that nice pop rock vibe you'd hear in movies from the 2000s starring Amanda Bynes 🤔. The lead vocalist is not a bad singer, her vocals are a bit higher in tone, the bands songs can be unserious at times so her vocal tone and animated vocals fit their songs well, they've only put out one ballad as a b-side and it was fine but her vocals definitely fit more the sillier songs or upbeat pop rock tracks.
The band currently is made of Vienna Finger aka Enna (Leader, Lead Vocal), Yangda and Yuyu. They've always been a trio however there were former musicians in the band : Hyeryeong, Goeun, Ari_L, and 599 (yes that was their stage name apparently). Enna is the only original member currently.
I decided to choose 2 digital singles they released in the beginning of their career both from 2018. The first song is "일 초도 없단다" (Not Even a Second). Song is a solid pop rock track with nice hype energy. Kinda has beach energy 🤔
The second song I chose was "좋아요를 눌러주세요" (Please Click Like ❤️). The song has a cutesy folk vibe, the song is a pretty standard track of social media and hoping to get that ❤️ from a post. If you like that "Oppa-ya" song that idols did aegyo over on Weekly Idol you'd like this song, has the same vibe.
