i kinda automatically figured they live in a world that views demons as just that; weird, supernatural beings like ghosts, things that need to be killed/exorcised, and yet cups just confirmed that he not only can think semi-indifferently towards demons, but also is aware of Bendys existence. so whats the au's consensus on demons? are they 'animals' that need to be killed or a minority no-one cares is getting hunted, did the c-bros perhaps become hunters just for the sake of meeting him, perhaps to get even on something?? cus why else would they want to own and spread info on their prey?????

Demons, the original name in Greek. Daemon, the name itself USE to mean spirit. A place holder between the mortal and not mortal beings.
They were rather an energy force then actual sentient beings. They were never meant to exist. Their existence being erased from time itself by the First Order.
Demons are expressions. The more you interact, the more you believe, the more you can feel them, the more they take into a form that has been shaped by belief and energy.
The unseen world is where these “energies” form. The world Cuphead can see and interact with physically.
Cuphead is a special case as well, from being able to understand a person almost upon meeting them, whether a picture, name, or in person. The lost tell him. Of course he has to pay a price, his eye.
Both Cuphead and Mugman are paying a price for what they have done. If they hadn’t done what they did, none of this would've ever happened. Their weapons are a mockery of WHAT price they are paying for.
