yeah - I totally agree with this. Also, Fitz woke up completely different so even if she did have feelings, it's not like she could pursue them now anyway. So it's an added layer of confusion and turmoil and I'm so sad

They have to learn how to be together again, which is tough. Everything used to be so easy. They were always the two smartest people, they finished each other's sandwiches sentences. 

I think a large part of the problem is that Fitz still wants to impress Jemma. He's under the delusion that she only cares about his smarts... that without them he's... broken. Useless. No longer her equal.

But Jemma? Honestly, she just wants her best friend back. Obviously he has changed. But I think what she misses most is just HIM. Not his brain, necessarily, but the person who's tea she knows how to make perfectly, the person who she used to have almost no physical boundaries with, the one who was always by her side. 

And with all this... yeah, it's difficult. They have a lot to work through. But that doesn't mean they won't get there.
