Finally got around making the gen 2 diamond noble kids

these were commissioned by my aunt. my grandpa (her dad) loved fishing and the five of diamonds was his favourite lure. my aunt runs a fly in fishing camp up in north Saskatchewan and these two pieces live there now.

(you might notice that the fourth picture doesn't match the third. that's because it's a copy! I always save my sketches in case I want to do them again)

11/6/2023. Dip pen and paintbrush, using Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink "Naphthol Crimson". Fixes and clean-up with Daler Rowney FW acrylic ink "White", white-out, and Krita.

It may be a silly question but you said the Labelle family was ten of Diamonds and changed to five of Diamonds,how does a family change its position?

So the Nobles in each kingdom are ranked and are give them their respective titles.

Ten of X is the most powerful and the Two of X is the least. Now according to which kingdom and what they deem powerful or not the rank changes.

So in Diamonds and Hearts it’s according to how much wealth you have. This means it’s really easy for the families to change and even previously Common families to become Nobles.

Spades and Clubs however rank there Ninles by the amount of land they own. This makes it a lot harder for the nobles to change and pretty much impossible to commons to become Nobles. However the Royals can take and give land in order to change a family’s rank but it is rare. (Diamonds and Hearts can do this as well by stripping a family of it’s wealth)

Labelle family at the time of Cobalt and Opal XXI marriage was the wealthiest and most powerful family (behind the royals) in Diamonds. However time moved on other families got more wealthy and lost a lot of money and now they are the Five of Diamonds
