I've made it my mission to read all of the unread books on my shelves before I buy more, so I've been reading a lot recently while waiting for classes to start in the mornings, and have gone through several books in like, 2 weeks? So I decided to share the book list and my rating of each book and why. I'll try not to get too descriptive in case of spoilers (I know at least one of my mutuals is starting the series of one of these books) so yeah.

Keep in mind, I rate my books loosely purely based on how much i enjoyed it, so please don't come for me. Most of these are high ratings.

1. Unbirthday by Liz Braswell: 9/10

I love Alice in Wonderland, and Disney has been releasing these twisted books of how things would have gone if something was different

Really interesting

Admittedly difficult to follow the logic at times, but its Alice in Wonderland. It's expected. It worked really well with the story itself. So I see no fault in that

2. Five Total Strangers by Natalie D. Richards: 10/10

Loved it

Basically was a "What could go wrong when 5 strangers are stranded at an airport cause of a blizzard and rent a car together?"

Anything that could go wrong, went wrong

Really fun to read, read it in a day, could barely put it down to go to class

Flat out kept me on the edge of my seat, was entirely betrayed by the character I thought I could trust

3. Gone Too Far by Natalie D. Richards: 8.5/10

Basically a "if given the chance to out the bullies and have them get what they deserve" sotuation, but taken too far

Not the ending I was expecting

Loved the romance in it too

Very cute

So glad the guy didn't just drop the main girl immediately upon figuring out what was happening

4. The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes: 8/10

Book two of The Inheritance Game series

Loved the mystery

Romance is good (although I prefer the other brother in the love triangle, but that's just me)

If it weren't for a specific thing in the book that is a huge running theme throughout said book that reminds me of another book series and why I couldn't read that series, it would be higher on the list

Unsure if I'm gonna read the third book yet, read some snippets of it on accident and kinda don't feel like I care enough??? Idk man, we'll see

Yeah, so that's what I've read so far, I'll update as I finish more books, I just need to pick the next book to read now.

Around when the pandemic started, i got really into thrillers, and am still reading a ton of them (though i’m mixing other genres in now and again lol)

Genre: Thriller, Mystery, YA Fiction

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2

I read this novel as part of the Big Library Read sponsored by Overdrive. The best part was the suspense and some parts had my heart absolutely racing. I had my suspicions as to who the antagonist was, but was kept guessing until the very end. However, I cannot give it 4 stars. This book requires some suspension of disbelief as there were some plot holes and unexplained bits. The ending was also underwhelming and some scenes were dragged out a little bit too long. I recommend this for anyone looking for a quick, book club worthy thriller. Fans of One of Us Is Lying and Truly Devious might also like this.
