just a quick question for the rest of the Dark Matter fandom: is there anyone else obsessed w the Five x Ryo/Four dynamic (especially considering the most recent ep) bc i need someone to talk to about this holy shit

I want four back sooo bad 😔 I hate what they did with him. He was always so honorable and now he's so ugh. Before, they NEVER would have had to worry about him turning in Five, he cares so much about her. Also, he would never kill innocent people (or partially cripple his crew on the raza) to give his own the upper hand in war. I hope they're able to wipe his past from his mind again somehow 😕

Omg I’m sorry I didn’t get to this sooner. You can say I’m severely disappointed with Four’s plot/arc on the show. It's so ooc from who we know and love. It’s just very saddening that we had to go through what happened. It’s like he betrayed us too and it hurts. I’m fucking hurt. I hate what tptb have done to his character so much so that I almost quit watching and I haven’t even been on my blog in ages. He’s not the person I have grown to love. Just the thought of how Five said that she didn’t want to be around him etc….. and this happening with him is like ugh…. she was right not to trust him. Even though we saw Five remember that the real Ryo was the breaking vote on whether she stayed or left the ship, to him betraying her after he got his memories. I think this will come into play in the next season hopefully and maybe we’ll get more backstory on Ryo and Das’s past as well. I love them so much.

Also, I think that Asian chick (don’t remember her name) will betray Ryo and he may have to go back to the crew. If that happens there will be a lot of tension between the crew. I dunno tptb kinda fucked shit up with Ryo getting his memories back and him betraying the crew. How will he ever make it up to them and how will him being Emperor come into play in regards to the crew. I think you’re right and the only way to get him back is for him to lose his memories again, otherwise it’s kinda just like why is he even on the show anymore. The Ashida storyline never really linked to anything except him and since he’s Emperor now, what’s the point besides the blink drive in keeping him around. I really hate the thought of him being the villain next season. He deserves better.
