November Comment Challenge
I double dog dare you, Tumblr, to leave some kind of comment on every story you read on AO3 this November.
You don’t have to compose a sonnet, or make offers of marriage, but I challenge you to take the minute of your time required to type one sentence of feedback into the comment field after you’ve read any story you didn’t completely hate, and tell the author something about what your experience of reading their work was. Two or three words is all it takes, if you’re feeling shy – “I liked this” or “This was good”
Something to let the author know that you recognize their efforts, that you are at least on some level aware that they entertained you, or at least kept you occupied for a little while, and that these comments are the only pay you’re ever going to be asked to give up for it. The only pay these authors are going to get. Recognition. From you.
When you think about how many hours of entertainment you get from reading fanfic every week, it’s not so much to pay, really.
So click the comment button. Use your words. Give a fan writer some encouragement to keep doing what they do.
I dare you.
Remember, remember, our Comment November…
Gotta do this! My bookmarked for later pile is so intimidating >.
Hey guys, you know those gifsets that go around that are all “I love those pairings where one looks like a tough old thing but is actually the biggest fluff but the other one looks like a fluff but will actually CUT A BITCH and they’ll follow each other to the ends of the universe” type thing? I’ve seen loads of them for many pairings
Is there one for Haleb? Particularly with Hanna as the CUT A BITCH half and Caleb as the fluff?
‘asdf.psd’ already exists. Do you want to replace it?

It occurs to me that some of you Youngin’s may not be aware of what “I’ll be right back” actually means in the Horror genre. I suggest watching scream, but here are the basic rules for surviving a Horror movie.
1. You can never have sex. This is really outdated and isn’t really a thing anymore - well, not as much. Basically, it was a punishment for “sinning”. As the genre has moved on, survival in a Horror movie has been more about keeping your wits about you and a cool head under pressure. But it is interesting to look at old trends.
2. You can never have alcohol or take drugs. Again, the sin factor. We still have that to some extent, I believe. Stoners still have a pretty tough time in Horror movies.
3.
So I just realized that Bob Morley and Chris Hemsworth played together in Home and Away and omg they look soooooooooo young and adorable haha ;3

Instructions for a walk in the woods
Never turn around to check behind you. You’ll see nothing, but once you start doing it you won’t be able to stop, and an ominous feeling will follow you until you don’t lock your house’s door behind you.
If you stand very still and listen you will hear the woods calling for you. Don’t answer. Never answer.
You’ll hear things quietly following you, hidden in the trees by your sides. It’s okay, they’re just checking on you.
Don’t be scared, but be really, really wary.
If you have a bad feeling about taking a certain path, don’t. You’ll avoid whatever is waiting for you at the end of it.
You never know what may be buried under the soil you’re walking on. Remember that every time you take a step. Pray that whatever it is, it won’t wake up.
Be careful not to step on any beetle, or you’ll never get rid of them.
If you bring a knife with you, name it. Otherwise the blade will turn against you as soon as you try to use it.
Make sure you remember the way back home. As soon as you get lost, you’re just another piece of fresh meat.
Adult things arent NEARLY as complex as I thought they were growing up I just walked into bank of america and said im here to open a checking account and they said ok and opened me a checking account
If you have anxiety about being an adult, it may help to think of adult things as basically just doing a lot of quests.
Me: [googles “where do i get a passport”] Me: [goes to that building] Me: [asks first person I encounter] Where do I get a passport? Them: Third floor, room twelve. Me: [goes to that room] Me: [asks first person I encounter] Where do I get a passport? Them: That desk over there. Me: [goes to that desk] Me: Where do I get a passport? Them: Fill out this form. Me: [thinking] Silver key opens the garden gate, in the garden is the red key, which opens the red door, there’s a boy in the red house who tells you his dog is trapped in the old abandoned barn and can I please rescue him…
being an adult is a serious of fetch quests and waiting in lines
also you roll bluff a lot
i mean a LOT
