until it finally reminds her to fight just a little
The plan had not gone perfectly, despite how confident Hanna had been in everything. Unbeknownst to her, they at least had a photograph of the person who was responsible, or at least partly responsible. The element of surprise was all they needed to get one over on Hanna and despite the fact she had been over and over the room, she had never thought of a secret tunnel beneath the room. In hindsight, which was always a wonderful thing, she knew she should have thought about it. A was always a step ahead of them, and this time was no different.
By the time she came to, it took her a moment to realise where she was. Why hadn’t whoever was behind this killed her yet? Her hand, by instinct, moved to her hip where her gun usually was and right then was gone. She lifted her hand to her head, instead; she hadn’t seen whatever had hit her coming but she could feel it. Spencer was going to kill her if whoever this was didn’t.
She could only make out two shadows, whispering a few feet from her and as she looked around, she realised she was in the church. They were going to murder her where Charlotte had been murdered, it would have been poetic justice if she hadn’t confessed to something she hadn’t done. She was surprised to see daylight shining through the blinds, which meant it was at least the day after she had been taken. She had no idea what they were waiting for, but she was grateful because it gave her friends a chance of finding her. Slowly, she sat up, holding onto the wall, managing to stand up before one of them noticed.
“You.” She managed to get out, as she shook her head and took a step back, wiping at the dried blood she could taste on her lips. He took another step towards her, and Hanna kept her eyes on him as her fingers grazed over a cross that hung on the wall. Ripping it off quickly, she pointed the only weapon she had, “Come any closer...” Her threat was left off when the sound of whispers could be heard below them, and a brief moment of panic came over the mans face as he looked behind him at the woman.
