ok i know i'm always reblogging the gloomy rainy autumn of the east coast (? europe??). and it is SO beautiful. but can we have a moment of appreciation for the clear autumn skies of the american mountain west/southwest? it's what i grew up with and frankly i think it's underappreciated in autumnophile circles. just imagine these images with the smell of roasting hatch chiles and juniper and pine, the honey taste of sopapillas, palisade peaches, the sun beating down on you as you walk through a real pumpkin patch to pick your own Halloween pumpkins, 70 degrees outside with a cool wind... yeah, there's literally nothing better imo

also, in case you're not aware (as my wife wasn't) what a sopaipilla is. in new mexico/colorado, it's a tasty fried dessert bread. my grandma was born and raised in la junta, co, you know, the place with all the tarantulas? and my mom used to make them for us, although she often just used tortillas. you may have heard of them from the south park episode talking about casa bonita. link to learn more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sopaipilla
arizona has to be one of the most underrated states i ever been to. i used to think the entire state was just a giant desert, until i moved to flagstaff. i had no idea flagstaff existed. i had no idea a beautiful town, 2 hours north of phoenix, 7k+ feet in elevation change, a giant national forest, a place with 4 real seasons, barely reaches 90° in the summers existed. i fell in love with arizona on my first visit before i even moved there. i’m from louisiana, and have lived there for 25 years, but the two years i lived in arizona, that place has felt more like home than any place ive ever been. there are so many things to do besides your typical trip to the grand canyon or hiking in sedona or hiking grand canyon to havasu falls. there’s a million hidden gems in this state that im so thankful for the opportunity and experience to check them out. arizona has brought out the best versions of myself that i will always cherish.
We left our hometown at 7:30am.
After a long day of delayed flights and traumabonding with the rest of the passengers, we have finally arrived in Flagstaff, AZ. Heading out to the Grand Canyon now!! Very excited!!!

This soap is made using cold brew dark roast coffee instead of water, has coffee grounds for a bit of scrubbing, and peaberry coffee beans on the top, for decoration.
There are no additional colorants or fragrances. The dark brown color and scent are all from the coffee.
