I see a lot of Miraculous crossover ships on Tumblr. Don’t get me wrong, I love a lot of them. Spideybug is nice and pure. @ozmav ‘s Damian Wayne is surprisingly refreshing.

However, I feel like this one should be acknowledged:

Flamebug Au - Adrien

Please note: if you are an Adrien stan, you should probably skip this AU. I am not going to portray him in a positive light.

I have issues with Adrien, and they will come to light here. He’s arrogant, spineless, and obsessive. He doesn’t want to change anything around him, and the Ladybug episode just exemplified that for me. If he was willing to do that now, why couldn’t he have convinced Lila to stop lying early on, or backed Marinette up from the beginning.

In Flamebug, he is obsessed with keeping the status quo. He doesn’t want anything to change around him, and doesn’t want to make an effort to make anything better. I get why he would want to do this, he was basically kept in a bubble his entire life, and liked what it felt like to have friends. He loves his life, and never wants it to change. However, this is an explanation, NOT an excuse, and he is still PLAINLY in the wrong. He wants Lila to be redeemed anime-style, but doesn’t realize that it doesn’t work like that.

So, yeah. If you stan Adrien you may not like my story. I just wanted to give a fair warning and an explanation as to why.

Punk!Chloe continued

I decided to build a bit on Punk!Chloe, because I love the concept.

In Flamebug, she begins to pick this style up from her Flame tutor, Hayato. In Lady Aurora, no one is quite sure why she decided on a punk look, but the main theory is that it is rebellion against her mother.

She avoids the grunge look like a plague. She aims exclusively for rich girl punk: rose gold spikes, diamond skull rings, gold studded belts, white leather pants. She also keeps the bee colors, due to that being her trademark.

She also experiments with short hair, typically spiked. She had an undercut once, liked it, but didn’t think it was practical. Her short hair parallels Kagami, who grew hers out.

Flamebug Au

I just had the thought of Hawkmoth trying to Akumatize Kyoya, but then when he peered into his mind, he realized “This is DEFINITELY a terrible idea” and withdrew the Akuma.

Flamebug AU - Kitty Section

Kitty Section holds an interesting place in BOTH of my Tsunette AUs, but I’m just focusing on Flamebug for now.

Luka never actually believed Lila. Her “song” never sounded right, so he didn’t believe a word coming out of her mouth (I headcanon that he can actually sense Flames, and the song metaphors are a way for him to rationalize it). As such, he fully supports Marinette’s side.

Juleka came next, and since she knows her brother is never wrong, she takes his word on this. Soon after, Rose was made aware of Lila’s falsehoods, Partly because of Juleka, but mostly because of Prince Ali, who she was finally able to get a hold of. 

Ivan didn’t need convincing, simply because he never believed Lila. She mistook him for a simple brute with no discernible intelligence. He was quick to hunt down inconsistencies in her stories. He had attempted to get Mylene to join Mari’s side, but she simply wished to remain neutral.
