. Since I mentioned that Light Elves in general love theatre, music and dance

One popular Alfheimr dance is the Firework dance

Basically a group of Light Elves be taking 2 balls of firework balls each and just dance to passionate music with a HUNCH of spinning and floating

It is originated from the Pleasure Elves realm and it soon became a popular dance in Alfheim

It has several nods to the Tarantella dance and the Flamenco btw

. And then the sand dance of Alfheim has several nods to Egyptian belly dance, Amazigh folk dances, and Arabic folk dances

It basically is a sand Manipulation dance and originated from the Spice Elves realm

. And then there is a light painting dance, basically it's a floating dance where light bending elves be showcasing light shows WHILE FLOATING AND DANCING. It originated from the Vale Elves realm and it has several nods to Balkan and Iberian folk dances btw.

Basically there are a number of elemental relateddances in Alfheim btw

And also the water ball dance in Alfheim is originated from the Sea Elves, and it has several nods to RYTHMIC GYMNASTICS, contemporary dancing, Grecian folk dances and Celtic folk dancing 🤩🤩🤩🤩😊😊😊

Flamenco is an artistic expression that originated in Andalucía , Spain it is the mix of the different cultures that were in the area like the Roma and the people of Andalucía , there are also hypotheses that it was also influenced in dances like Kathak ( an Indian dance ) , it’s composed not only of the dance but also singing “cante” and the guitar “toque “.

The History of Flamenco Dance

Over the years, different dance styles have originated from various regions of the world. Among the most notable dance styles is the flamenco dance. Traditionally, the Gypsies of Andalucia are known to be the original dancers of flamenco song and dance. However, it is worth mentioning that several scholars have debated its evolution over the years. Currently, there is no accepted explanation concerning how flamenco dance evolved due to the cultural influence of North Africa, Near and the Far East, as well as Southern Europe.

As of today, flamenco dance is a popular style in Spain and beyond. In fact, it has never been more popular as a new generation of flamenco dancers have widened the appeal and performance of the dance style to the international audience. Let’s delve further into the history of Flamenco dance.

 A Brief History of Flamenco Dance

During the early 19th century, flamenco dance became popular as café entertainment when it was commonly performed by the Gypsy, Andalusian, Moorish, among others. The core part of flamenco dance is the Canto (song), which comes in three forms:

· Grande: This flamenco song is usually intense and profound. Sometimes, it can have a tragic tone and imbued with Duende, which is the transformation by the depth of the emotion on the part of the musician. The form is also referred to as the Hondo (grand or profound).

· Intermedio: Here is the intermediate flamenco song. It is moderately serious, and the music may sound oriental. 

· Pequeno: This word translates to small in English and represents light songs of love, nature, and exuberance.

Also, there are some individual genres. For instance, we have the light bulerias; the fandangos grandes which is a serious version of the lighter non-Gypsy genre; the more serious soleares and the alegrias, which is the lighter descendant; the malaguenas, which is a variant of the fandangos; and lastly, there are the cantos grandes like the saetas, the siguiriyas, and the gitanas.

Flamenco dance has no specific rules that bind the movements; you simply improvise during the performance. The same thing goes to the text and melody of the songs while being played with the traditional and characteristic chords and rhythms. However, when men are performing the flamenco dance, you will notice intricate toe movements and heel-clicking steps. As for the women, the traditional dance is based on the movement of the body and hand. While performing flamenco dance, rhythmic finger-snapping, shouting, and clapping may accompany the dance and song.

Historians believe that bailegrande (deep songs) has characteristics of some dances in India – a region where the Gypsies originated from. More so, it is worth mentioning that Castanets, which is found in Andalusian dance, are not originally part of flamenco. During the 19th century, most of the genres were accompanied by guitar. Consequently, many guitar solos for the dance were developed. By the 20th century, a significant aspect of the traditional flamenco dance was distorted by commercial pressure. 

Nevertheless, currently, you can find the best flamenco performance in Seville in many quality shows around the year. Also, gypsies from Granada often use flamenco dance to entertain visitors coming to the cave of Sacramonte. Beyond Andalucía, the best place to watch quality flamenco performance is Madrid.
