Rather than creating a physical copy of my flatplan, I decided it would be easier and more practical to create a digital version which I can easily add to and adapt. Each chapter follows the same format of the first one on ‘Mundane Life’, but I am planning for the middle one to have some pages which are mirrored to make it a bit different. For now, I’ve set out the prelims and the chapter sections in rainbow order as these colours flow well from each other and tie the book together quite nicely, however I may change these colours once I start with my photoshoots as they may become a bit of a clash. I’ve also been experimenting with the placement of page numbers. I really like them on a larger scale, but I felt that it looked too cluttered on a double page, so they would only look worse with the photos added. Instead I’ve tried putting them on more random pages, which will help keep the reader engaged as they may have to guess which page they are on. This random layout also gives me the potential to play with the size and the positioning of each individual number.
