**Chef Larry Edwards' famed Rock&Roll Kitchens have teamed up with the masters of charcuterie, Fratelli Beretta, to help launch their new Mount Olive brand of All Natural & No Nitrates meats. It's time for a delicious party!** If the adage "bread is the staff of life" is true, then it's about time you put some zing in that "staff" so you can lead a more flavorful "life." Bread is one of the oldest foods known to man, so now maybe it is time we make it one of the less boring foods -- thus the creation of Salami & Sweet Onion Bread. The chances are you like sandwiches. What is the main component of a sandwich? Yes, it is the bread! One of the better tasting sandwiches is the deli classic salami sandwich. One of the favorite sandwich condiments is onions. So, what we did with the cooperation of Fratelli Beretta and Mount Olive, is make a bread with both salami and sweet onions baked into the bread. Not only is Salami & Sweet Onions Bread the ultimate sandwich bread, it is also the perfect party bread because you can slice it thin and make killer bruschetta with it. In the culinary world, we call this a win-win situation! Now, as any yeast risen bread, this does take a little time to prepare as there are a few rising periods. You can also shape the Salami & Sweet Onion Bread to fit your fancy. If you want a typical loaf, you can prepare it in a loaf pan. If you want to be a rebel (like the Rock&Roll Kitchens), you can make small round loaves with it. Either way you shape it, this is one of the few breads which will give your mouth a true flavorgasm!
