Did I really finish this sweater in 25 days? Yes. It was unfairly addicting!! Details, some math, and fun facts below the cut:

Pattern: Flax Sweater by Tincanknits. I wanted something simple that I didn't have to think about while knitting. If I were to do this again, I would add better neck shaping and put in the effort to make the stripes jogless

Yarn: Knitting for Olive, heavy merino. I had never knit with this yarn before, and I found it to be enjoyable! It's a little toothy, but not rustic, so it knit up - and then blocked - to be rather neutral in the "soft" department. Feels like a sturdy staple piece

Yarn Colors: Cream, Pomegranate, Ballerina, Limestone, Coal, Marzipan, Dusty Moose, Dusty Petroleum Blue

As said in my first post, this was a project inspired by a knitter who picked nine random colors, then randomly rolled for which color she knit with, then how many stripes it would be! I didn't let any colors double up, though the OG person did. I had originally picked nine colors as well, but set that final color aside as its green looked too christmas-y for my tastes. If I were to make this again, I think I could go down to 6-7 colors as I ended up with a lot of leftovers (which I'll be knitting the Very Varied Vest by Lydia Morrow since the concept is similar and I have the right amount of leftovers for a cute version of it)

Fun Facts:

all the one row stripes are different colors

the black stripes in the middle of the sleeves lines up when I wear it

that one sleeve decided to be all blue and the other all red

that None of the ribbing is one color

how surprisingly light the yarn feels while wearing it

sock money sleeve cuff

that the blue sleeve has sections of Big stripes broken up by consistently 3 row stripes

that the first 2 row stripe happened near the end of the left sleeve, after all of the body was done !!

oh hey, another finished knitting project 🙃 i had enough yarn left over from my last shawl to make the raglan sweater by tincanknits 😍 it accidentally turned out a little too big (which was my fault because i don‘t like making gauge swatches, shhh 🤫) but the pattern was super easy to understand, even for a noob knitter like me ☺️ look at the pretty garter panel that goes all the way down the sleeves 😍

I’m blocking my Flax! I modified the pattern clearly and I will put as many details as I can on the blog post coming later this week. But there is something I HAVE to talk about right now and that’s my mistake. Whenever there is a mistake in an FO, the knitter is prone to pointing out the error immediately to anyone who mentions the sweater or worse, the fellow knitter feels the urge to notify the knitter that they see a mistake. This sweater has a mistake so I want to address it immediately. On one of the rows of garter I knit instead or purled so there is a line across my middle. There I told you. I have a plan for how I am going to address it (it will be in the blog post if it works out). Other than that, I won’t be discussing it again, because whether or not it gets fixed IDGAF. I’m not perfect and I’m not even trying to be and neither is my knitting.
