the battle had been long and hard, with many soldiers ending up injured. yet amongst them, you couldn't spot your girlfriend, looking around worried, as you looked for flayn, calling out her name.
“flayn, where–”
suddenly, you spotted her, kneeling down next to a soldier and trying to help them up, despite her fragile statue. without thinking, you rushed forward as soon as flayn had gotten up again, you almost swept her off her feet as you wrapped your arms around her and kissed her desperately.
“i… i was so worried you were injured! but you're okay...!”
you gently cupped her cheeks, before noticing that flayn wasn't looking at you, but past you. and as you turned around slowly, you locked eyes with the person flayn had been looking at; seteth!
“oh… h-hello, sir–!!”
you quickly let go of flayn and took a step aside, trying to show yourself from your best side.
“for your sake, i would hope this is the first time that you kissed my… sister. because if that wasn't the case, that means flayn has kept you hidden from me on purpose…”
seteth's angry glare wandered from you, to flayn, before it went back to you.
“y-yes… well, about that…”
you smiled awkwardly and glanced at flayn. you knew very well there was no way hiding it anymore. and what was about to come would be quite the awkward talk…
A - Affection (How do they show their love and affection?) - Lysithea
She becomes protective, always keeping an eye out for anyone or anything that can result in you being injured. If it is a person, she’ll unleash everything on them, showing no mercy to the point that it is downright terrifying. After the battle, Lysithea is instantly by your side and checking for anything - cuts, bruises, scratches.
B - Blood (How messy are they willing to get?) - Sylvain
Sylvain will do anything to keep you by his side. He is afraid that you’ll be taken away by others, become injured, or want nothing to do with him. Thus if it meant to kill some people so you’ll stay, Sylvain won’t even beat an eyelash. But remember he is much smarter than Sylvain let's know so the murder will be nice and clean, leaving nothing behind that could raise suspicion.
C - Cruelty (How would they treat their darling) - Lorenz
He’ll switch between compliments or insults. Lorenz will comment that his darling is perfect because how else could someone catch his attention and selective interest? But will always mock and insult his darling, saying how much of a surprise it is that he could fall for such a lowlife like you.
D - Darling (Would they do anything against their darling’s will?) - Rhea
Rhea, if possible, will attempt to take control of everything in their life. When her darling can or will eat, when to shower, and what to wear. She is paranoid that if you gain just a small amount of freedom, you’ll escape. However, Rhea can’t understand why you’re miserable and not overjoyed to be with her.
E - Exposed (How much of their heart do they bare to their darling?) - Annette
She has always been emotionally open with everything and it wouldn’t be any different with you. She is so open and vulnerable with her heart that you could end up becoming the yandere instead since she’ll listen to whatever you say. Annette wants to make you happy. But if you start to look at others or make her feel less than you, she isn’t afraid to remind you that you’re the darling.
F - Fight (How would they feel if their darling fought back?) - Petra
Confused for two reasons. The first is fighting back in general because she loves you and you love her, in Petra’s mind that is, so why would you want to leave? The second is because Petra’s a talented and skillful fighter, and you’ve lost before even beginning really. It also hurts her each time, making her feel unloved. But it doesn’t mean she’ll give up until you stop rebelling.
G - Game (How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?) - Raphael
His two favorite games are hidden and seek or tag because both are physical activities, making it a workout. Typically it’s tag since that’s the faster one and it is difficult to outrun someone like Raphael. If he is in a kind mood, he’ll play hide or seek. It takes the longest as you’ve learned good hiding spots and falsely gives you hope of escape.
H - Hell (What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?) - Seteth
Likewise to Rhea, he enjoys being in control of everything and watching whatever you do. Especially when you cook, it lets him imagine what it would be like being married to his darling. Seteth often calls you by pet names to ease tension. However, he is busy often and can’t watch you, so Seteth keeps you locked up in a room without windows.
I - Ideals (What kind of future do they have in mind with their darling?) -Flayn
She wants to live somewhere in the countryside, giving both of you privacy and far enough to not have people around. Sometimes, Flayn longs to have children and grow old with you as characters in romantic books do.
J - Jealousy (Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?) - Felix
Most people leave him and you’re always by his side so rarely does the chance to become jealous show up. But when Dimitri, or worse, Sylvain comes to speak with you and acts overly friendly. To anyone else, neither of them treats you that especially. However, that means nothing to Felix because once any slight jealousy begins to form, he’ll see red and lash out.
K - Kisses (How do they act around or with their darling?) - Manuela
She loves having you all to herself because there is no one around to keep Manuela away from kissing, touching, or whispering in your ear. If there is skin that’s exposed, she’ll be unable to stop herself from kissing the spots and leaving long travels of it. Manuela loves clinging to you.
L - Love letters (How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?) - Dorothea
Dorothea’s method of flirting isn't different from the usual but she’ll try to find ways for the two of you to have alone time, give personal gifts, or touch part of you if the chance shows up. She wants to mark you by putting her perfume on you, either covering you in her lipstick or letting you put it on. It seems very harmless and not out of the ordinary. But she is very aggressive when doing it.
M - Mask (Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?) - Bernadetta
Her anxiety and low self-esteem become much worse. She’ll cling to you, either by wrapping her arms around you or holding hands. Bernadetta needs to constantly have your attention or else she’ll start to become manipulative. It first starts as simple questions but if she hears something that Bernadetta doesn’t like, it will turn into demand until it ends up with you confessing your love to her. Regardless if it is true or not.
N - Naughty (How would they punish their darling?) - Dimitri
If it is nonsexual, you’ll be locked in his room and belittled until tears, and denied basic human needs. However, sexually, you are covered in bites, bruises, and scratches. With either form of punishment, Dimitri isn’t kind and can be downright cruel.
O - Oppression (How many rights would they take away from their darling?) - Cyril
Cyril refuses that you see specific people, Sylvain, or that you must dress in clothes that only please him. It isn’t noticeable, instead being very subtle and giving the belief that you’re able to do whatever you want. But don’t be mistaken because what Cyril says will go.
P - Patience (How patient are they with their darling?) - Jeritza
Yes and no. It depends on which of his persona is in control. If it is the darker side, Jeritza is short-tempered and straight to the point, not having the desire to deal with whatever you’re doing. But if the personas are gone and he is in a good mood. Jeritza can be very patient and gentle, not caring what the two of you are doing as he wants to spend time with you.
Q - Quit (If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?) - Leonie
If you’ve died, Leonie will be heartbroken and insoluble. She will become a husk, barely existing as a person anymore, and will become a death seeker on the battlefield in hopes that she’ll get to see you again. However, if you escape then Leonie will stop at nothing to get you back. She can’t live without you, so it’s obvious that means you’re unable to live without her, and all of this was just a silly mistake.
R - Regret (Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?) - Ashe
A little. He wants you to be happy and healthy, and when you’re with him, it’s the opposite of that. But not having you by his side causes physical and emotional pain. It hurts so bad that if you leave or die, he’ll crave his own heart out so Ashe can’t let you leave. His depression will get worse, struggling with the idea of letting you be free or having you with him.
S - Stigma (What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?) - Hubert
He grew up in a loveless household and had little control over choices, and after what happened to Edelgard, he snapped. Hubert didn’t understand nor know the real meaning of love and became curious about the idea of it. Thus when he found you, suddenly it clicked that his feelings for you are love. The curiosity turned into an obsession, however, because now Hubert needed you. Regardless if you love him back or not.
T - Tears (How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?) - Ferdinand
To see you behave like this because of the situation, it will break his heart. But if it is because of something that he has done to make this happen, Ferdinand’s heart will shatter. He doesn’t like seeing any of these, especially the isolation. Ferdinand will do anything to make you feel better by giving gifts or affection. However, if you ask to be let go then he’ll turn cold and hostile, questioning why you would say that after all the nice things that Ferdinand’s done for you.
U - Unique (Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?) - Claude
He won’t kill anyone unless there is a big reason to. Although usually, the victims will become sick, either to the point of a small upset stomach or being deathly ill and bedridden. Neither will Claude use manipulation to keep you by his side. Instead, he will make you so in love with him that it just makes sense you want to often spend time with your lover.
V - Vice (What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?) - Hilda
It would be tricky because Hilda is physically strong, clever, and good at manipulating people emotionally. The only possible way to run away is by contacting her brother, lying that she was injured badly. Thus he could come down to check up on her, giving you a good amount of time to flee.
W - Wit’s end (Would they ever hurt their darling?) - Catherine
Not by choice and even if she did, it was mostly a bruise on the arm or wrist. Catherine is naturally strong and due to working out often, she has difficulty remembering her strength. It also doesn’t happen a lot for Catherine to recall it, so usually it’s an accident. But when you do get hurt, Catherine is quick to find ways to ease the injury and make you forgive her.
X - Xoanon (How much would they revere or worship their darling?) - Dimitri
Dimitri sees you as a divine being and isn’t afraid to show it by praising or spoiling you. Thankfully as king, he can buy whatever you want and even then will buy you more. Although, he is a jealous and possessive person so unfortunately there are no servants who can do simple things for you. Dimitri will refuse that you enter the battlefield, and if you put up a fight, he will order Dedue or another to keep an eye on you. Despite it not being true, you are delicate and fragile that can’t or mustn’t do anything.
Y - Yearn (How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?) - Edelgard
Edelgard is a very patient and cautious woman, rarely rushing anything that could backfire. She is also a long-term planner so it’s hard to say for how long she has been in love with you and it’s unknown how long she would wait for you to love her naturally. However, the only way that Edelgard would snap and behave uncharacteristically is if there is a rival who seems to have a good chance of winning your heart then she will confess.
Z - Zenith (Would they ever break their darling?) - Shamir
Physically? No. But mentally and emotionally then yes. As an assassin, she knows how to torture people until given what she wants. So, if it takes force for you to become submissive then Shamir has no problem with it nor would it take long to happen. Despite it working, she would be sad and disappointed if you changed dramatically from it, becoming a husk.

seteth was next door, doing some paperwork, while the two of you were making out with each other, always keeping an eye at the door, while being unable to keep your hands off each other
but the second you heard the door open, you pulled away from flayn again, sitting up straight and staring down at the book in front of you, pretending you were just reading quietly.
