Having someone you can't have

Jesus walks with you, but do you walk with Jesus?

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

Galatians 5:1

Christ died to set us free from our sins! He broke the chains that held us in bondage by the promise that his blood enacted. The veil was torn, my darlings; there is nothing on this earth that can keep us from the love of our Father!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rejoice in his promises and his faithfulness because he is truth and love! He broke our chains - he broke them! Don't listen to the whispers of temptation calling you back; don't let them fool you into thinking you'll get some sort of gratification in them. Temptations have no shame in making empty promises. Why should you enslave yourself once again? You have been set free! DON'T LOOK BACK. The Bible says to flee temptation! When you've realized Christ has broken those chains, run. Run and never look back. Only look to Christ - he is the way. Our only way.

"The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."

Galatians 5:6

Matthew 22:37-39 says that the greatest commandment is to love God and second to that is to love your neighbor. Love. God is love. Love isn't an emotion. It's a choice, it's an action, it's a lifestyle. In the last few months I've met some of the most amazing people I know. The love of Christ is alive in them. I pray that it will become alive in me too. Like my dad always says, "Jesus didn't come to make bad people good; he came to make dead people alive." Alive... I want to have a living, breathing, Jesus-love for everyone I meet.

"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love."

Galatians 5:13

God set us free by sacrificing his one and only Son. So what do we do now? We love God, we praise God, we serve God. We love God's people, we honor God's people, we serve God's people. It's that simple.

Amen.

"Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other."

Galatians 5:24-26

God hasn't left us to walk alone. He's always right beside us. He always walks beside us, but we don't always walk beside him. Sometimes we're blind to the fact that Jesus is always there with us. We lose sight of his presence. The world blinds us. But he is always there. Turn to him, walk beside him, love him, love his people.

Dear God,

I know that I was born a sinner, but I have faith and confidence that the blood of your Lamb purified my heart. I know that you have renewed me. I pray that my renewal would be accompanied by the blessings that the Spirit brings: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I know that you are always walking beside me, Lord, but I pray that I would always walk beside you.

Take my life and make it yours. Mold me and use me, Lord. I want to serve you and set your name on high. Please, make me a light to shine your word.

Thank you for revealing yourself, Lord. Thank you for all the little things you do. Thank you for all the big things you do. Thank you for having patience and love for us, God.

Help us walk with you and love like you.

I love you, Lord.

In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
