A/N: I've wanted to do something with just villains for a while now (yes, I love villains), and it's finally here, with an addition I didn't intend to include: Fleetway is finally here. I decided to do this to test him out after doing some research, so please leave feedback on what you thought of my portrayal of him. Anyway, this fic is exactly about portraying a headcanon of relationships with possessive and dangerous villains. It was mostly just for fun to write about them.
Scourge ✪ The hedgehog was not the type of guy to fall in love easily. In fact, he had come close to it once, but even so, he had never truly experienced the real feeling.
✪ Well, that was until he saw you for the first time in his life. From that moment on, Scourge wanted you to be his and only his at any cost.
✪ Of course, he was a loser. No longer a King, not a single dime in his pocket, no even remotely reliable crew anymore, and not even his quills had grown back yet since his prison days.
✪ But even knowing he had nothing interesting to offer besides his own looks, he didn’t give up on winning you over.
✪ It took time, quite a lot actually. But after bothering you endlessly, shamelessly flirting with you, and simply being himself, he managed to at least get your attention.
✪ After that, things only got worse.
✪ Scourge has always been tremendously possessive about what he likes, even when he wasn’t properly in a relationship with you yet. He could get on your nerves many, many times.
✪ But he only realized he was hopelessly in love with you when he got slapped across the face for the first time.
✪ For some reason, that only set him more on fire for you than he already was.
✪ And on your side, little by little, you were no longer able to resist the dark charm of that green menace.
✪ Scourge’s love language will always be physical contact, the most intense kind you can imagine.
✪ If you’re near, he can’t go ten seconds without touching you, from bumping into your shoulder to grabbing your waist and pulling you against him. He especially loves doing that in public, showing that you’re his and only his.
✪ He loves the feeling of possessiveness, of feeling like he owns you (He thinks he’s the one in charge, but he always ends up doing exactly what you want.).
✪ You can expect a hedgehog who’s not only dirty-minded, but extremely provocative. He’ll casually drop the most outrageous lines out of absolutely nowhere, especially in crowded places. Seeing you blush makes him… excited.
✪ And of course, he absolutely loves it when you get back at him. In fact, he does all of that exactly to see you lose your temper with him.
✪ He loves that you provoke him back and aren’t intimidated by him. The hedgehog likes someone who keeps him in check.
✪ Feel flattered by that too, you’re the only one he likes doing that.
✪ Scourge likes someone who talks back to him, who stands their ground… and especially someone who puts him in his place when necessary.
✪ Secretly, the hedgehog completely melts with sincere compliments and words of affection, even if he doesn’t show it and often responds gruffly (You can tell by his posture and expression that it affects him.).
✪ Jealousy? He’ll laugh at the mere mention of the word. But he will never, ever let another man get close to you, and he’ll make sure he never leaves your side to reinforce that.
✪ As your relationship progresses, Scourge may spend too much time deep in thought, maybe even secretly blaming himself for being who he is and not being able to give you the best in the world.
✪ Even so, he won’t give up what he considers his, and even if he can’t give you the world, he’ll at least try.
Neo Metal Sonic ✪ He wasn’t built for weak feelings like love or affection. Even so, he wasn’t so sure about that when he saw you for the first time.
✪ Neo understood that he would only feel complete and alive if he had you by his side.
✪ And then, suddenly, nothing else mattered but you—not Eggman, not his directives—only your presence was important.
✪ He even understood that you weren’t comfortable with a lethal robot like him being so close. But he was very determined to prove he deserved your feelings.
✪ He started small, bringing gifts every day, from chocolates to flowers, sometimes even money or jewelry, depending on where he had gone that day.
✪ And little by little, you began to accept him more and more, exactly as he wanted.
✪ But Neo was only truly satisfied when you finally allowed him into your home.
✪ Since then, he became your personal handyman, even without you asking for absolutely anything. For some reason, he feels immense satisfaction in giving you everything you ask for, even if the way he gets it isn’t the most appropriate.
✪ But Neo only realized he was hopelessly in love with you one day when he showed up with scratch marks on his body. It was nothing, just remnants of a battle to get you another gift.
✪ Still, the way you worried about him made him melt in a way he never thought possible.
✪ From that day on, he never allowed you to even get a paper cut, such was his obsession with keeping you safe.
✪ Neo’s love language is obviously acts of service with a touch of gift-giving. He does everything for you; if he can prevent you from getting hurt, then you can be sure he will, even if it means not letting you anywhere near a knife and making dinner entirely by himself.
✪ Don’t even think about what would happen if someone hurt you by accident, even emotionally. The robot will not let it slide; he will get his revenge for anyone daring to do such a thing to you.
✪ Besides all that, when he isn’t doing things for you, he is usually standing still, impassively watching you, wherever you are. He needs to make sure you are okay at all costs.
✪ Even if he doesn’t openly show it much, it’s easy to notice that he loves physical contact too. The gentleness of his touches doesn’t reflect his rigid exterior.
✪ Neo always touches carefully, never forcefully, afraid of hurting you.
✪ And of course, he loves being touched back, especially when you place your hands on his metallic cheeks. Neo doesn’t feel anything, but the intention behind it makes all the difference, and that’s what completely melts him.
✪ As for jealousy, he’s never called it that, but of course he doesn’t like seeing you with anyone else. In his case, it’s a bit more serious, since he also wants to keep you safe. And how is he supposed to do that if you’re going out with strangers?
✪ That’s exactly why he follows you, and of course, he will absolutely annihilate anyone who poses a possible threat.
✪ Deep down, he just wants to see you happy and content, and even if he can’t give you all the benefits of an organic partner, Neo will certainly do everything to make you the Queen he sees in you, even if he has to make the world kneel before him for it.
Infinite ✪ He didn’t pay much attention to you when he first saw you. Why would he, after all? Infinite had never been a jackal of relationships before; no one had captured his interest enough.
✪ Well, that was until he began observing you more and more. What started as disinterest slowly turned into a true addiction. Infinite couldn’t go even a single day without seeing you.
✪ That bothered him deeply. He didn’t want to grow attached to anyone. He wasn’t that kind of jackal. But it was impossible to deny that feeling threatening to completely take over him.
✪ His approach was slow, almost hesitant, but still inevitable.
✪ And when Infinite could finally truly show what he felt, he had to admit it was the best feeling he had ever experienced in his life. It was truly good to finally not feel alone anymore.
✪ Little by little, you got used to his presence, to the way he was completely closed off when it came to physical contact. But one thing was certain: he liked your attention, and very much, only for him.
✪ But Infinite only fully accepted that he was hopelessly in love with you the first time you asked how his day had been. It sounds simple, silly. But for the jackal, it was… transcendental. He couldn’t remember the last time he had been treated like a living being and not like the monster he had become.
✪ That’s why he became not only possessive of you, but obsessed with every second of your day.
✪ Infinite’s love language is quality time, even in a completely troubled and eccentric way.
✪ He appreciates your company, and he is certainly not against physical touch, even if more subtle. A hand on your back, claws sinking into your waist, his muzzle against your neck—you can even expect a nibble from time to time.
✪ On the other hand, he deeply appreciates your way of not judging him. Just the fact that he feels comfortable being without his mask around you is a huge sign that he trusts you, and he likes the way you trust him too.
✪ Secretly, he loves lazy moments near you, where he can relax. And no matter how much he hides it, his tail wagging gives everything away.
✪ Better not even mention jealousy near Infinite. He already knows he has plenty of it and doesn’t like being reminded. That means he won’t let anyone get too close to you, especially since he won’t leave your side for anything.
✪ Did someone hurt you? Don’t be surprised if that person disappears the same day. He won’t even allow people to speak about you behind your back. If it reaches his ears, there will be serious consequences for whoever did it.
✪ If Infinite could, he would dominate the entire world just to make you happy. But either way, your presence is a good way to control all that destructive desire he carries.
✪ After all, why think about that when you’re right there in front of him, only his.
✪ Even though you know he would never hurt you, it’s important to remember that he is still Infinite, and he will not hesitate to destroy anything that threatens your relationship.
Mephiles ✪ At first, he saw you only as a way for him to exist again in the world, a means to his elaborate ends. That was exactly why he stayed as your shadow for so long, just waiting for the right moment and his own recovery to be free again.
✪ But in truth, everything happened in a way he never imagined.
✪ With each passing day, he grew more and more interested in you, wanting your presence forever. And so, slowly, he began developing an obsession with you.
✪ Of course, as expected, you didn’t react well the first time he revealed himself. But even so, he never gave up trying. And as days went by, you constantly heard his voice in your mind, almost all the time.
✪ It didn’t take long for you to get used to Mephiles’ presence, especially when he regained enough energy to take physical form again. And now you had a bizarre hedgehog wandering freely around your house like a haunting presence.
✪ At least he wasn’t completely unbearable. It was even interesting to hold conversations with him, despite his… out-of-the-box ideas. What else would you expect from a creature of pure malice?
✪ Still, he never left your side, fulfilling what he said. And at first, it was strange, until you understood that he had developed a true addiction to you.
✪ You can expect him to appear in all your dreams as well. Somehow, he has that ability, besides invading your thoughts. The way he was connected to you was almost terrifying.
✪ Mephiles’ love language is also quality time, in the strangest way possible. After all, when he isn’t in physical form, he is always, always with you, in your shadow, speaking to you mentally.
✪ But you got used to it quickly too, and soon he just felt like a constant presence rather than an annoyance.
✪ One thing that strangely satisfies and softens Mephiles is your smile. Even he doesn’t know why, but he finds fascination in your happiness; somehow it drives him crazy.
✪ He also feels enormous pleasure in the fact that you simply accept that he lives in your shadow, without trying to get rid of him or anything. The fact that you don’t fear him excites him.
✪ And considering he practically started this strange mutualism between you, of course he would be extremely jealous. He restrains himself, giving you the freedom to talk or interact, but it’s better not to test what happens to someone who tries to flirt with you or touch you in a way that makes you uncomfortable.
✪ It’s always good to remember that Mephiles is not a common creature, not a living being; he is something far beyond your understanding. And as much as he loves and protects you, it’s best to keep him on a short leash, as a guarantee that he won’t cause too much chaos.
Zavok ✪ When he first saw you, he considered you just a foolish, clueless intruder who dared to step into the Zeti’s territory. He didn’t care how you had arrived in Lost Hex, much less what you were doing there, whether you were a researcher or just unlucky.
✪ He wasted no time imprisoning you.
✪ But over time, and observing you closely, he developed an intrinsic interest in you, which led him to allow himself to speak with you more, interrogate you… sometimes even explaining certain things about his own species.
✪ And it was during that time that he began to reflect. If he was a leader, he would need a partner to stand beside him. At first, he tried to push that idea from his mind, but it corroded him from the inside out.
✪ Until he finally freed you, on the condition that you would stay by his side forever, with promises of power, abundant meals, and as many riches as you desired. In the end, it wasn’t a bad proposal for what you would have to do.
✪ But what made him understand he was hopelessly in love with you was when you simply looked at him with tenderness. Not with fear or shock as at the beginning, but truly like someone who cared.
✪ He didn’t have that among his own species, and perhaps that’s what affected him most deeply. Meeting someone who didn’t feel only resentment from birth was a break from everything he was used to.
✪ His love language is words of affirmation with physical touch, and as expected, in a troubled way. He always reassures you in the strangest ways, but you quickly get used to it; he’s not used to showing affection anyway.
✪ As for physical contact, as expected from him, it is possessive and surprisingly gentle, considering the brutality that surrounds Zavok. He likes to touch, to keep you close to his body, seated on his lap or simply carrying you in his arms. It makes him feel deeply satisfied.
✪ You’re not even sure if his species normally behaves like that with females; you’ve never seen such a relationship to compare.
✪ It goes without saying that he is extremely jealous, not letting any of the other Zeti get too close to you, which may be as much an act of territorialism as protection from his own kind.
✪ Either way, you end up feeling safe near Zavok, and even though he is quite rough, there is still a strangely gentlemanly side in every behavior around you.
✪ He loves when you praise him, stare at him, and even provoke him. He sees it as a sign of strength and loves it very, very much. It makes him feel soft, something he isn’t used to either.
✪ But it’s good to never forget what he is and what his species has tried to do to Mobius. He is not a benevolent being, and if given the opportunity, he won’t hesitate to repeat the same acts as before.
✪ But maybe, just maybe, you are the key to taking those ideas out of his head and changing the Zeti’s attitude once and for all.
Fleetway ✪ He had been watching you from the shadows for a long time. He never knew exactly why, but he felt a strange attraction to you. But he also couldn’t do much since he had lost all his strength and had become merely a wandering entity.
✪ Maybe it was your smile, or how fearless and determined you were. Fleetway couldn’t say. The only thing he knew was that he needed you urgently; his existence began to depend on it.
✪ You started noticing strange things, like the feeling of being watched all the time, long before he even introduced himself to you.
✪ But for some reason, he never frightened you. In the end, he really couldn’t do anything against you, and maybe that’s what made you not fear him.
✪ Even if he couldn’t hurt or destroy anymore, he could follow you, even more than you would like.
✪ Fleetway became an even worse haunting presence than Mephiles. At least that one spent most of the time as a shadow. Fleetway stayed constantly at your side, glued to your shoulder, murmuring, almost always laughing, and to your greatest despair, only you could see him.
✪ Over time, you simply accepted him there, maybe even ignored him. But that only made him more determined to have your attention. He could be very annoying at times.
✪ Fleetway’s love language is a crazy mix of quality time, physical touch, and words of affirmation, and of course, all in his own way. Possessive touches combined with the fact that he never left your side and was always whispering countless things in your ear.
✪ You could even push him away when you went to shower, but eventually you realized it didn’t make much difference; he would still stare at you from the corners. In the end, you understood he didn’t function like any normal being. He was simply there out of pure obsession, nothing with second intentions… at least for now.
✪ And if you want to see him almost fall apart completely, give him attention. Fleetway is an entity that wants to be seen. Since he can’t destroy or set things on fire anymore, his greatest desire is for you to understand that he loves you in the most macabre ways possible.
✪ And when you talk back to him, provoke him, or even laugh with him about something, it completely destabilizes the creature.
✪ It goes without saying that he is jealous. Fleetway does not accept sharing attention. You are his, only his, and don’t doubt that, even without powers, he might end up doing something crazy. You know him well enough to know what he’s capable of to keep you only his.
✪ And even as your relationship develops further, you will always be aware that he is dangerous, and that maybe it’s better for him to be with you than loose out there. At least if he regains his powers, he’ll be too focused on you to worry about using them elsewhere.
