"Waaaave~!"

The bunny called after her dear friend and counterpart, bounding happily towards her like a dog would their master. Upon reaching the bird, Rose threw her arms around her in a tight squeeze, momentarily lifting Wave off the ground.

It wasn't like it had been a long time since they'd seen each other, a day or two at most. But Rose rarely could contain her joy when they were together.

He's... Touched. Surprised also, but very touched. Having come from a childhood where he had to basically fend for himself for long periods of time, he was always surprised when someone did something for him on his birthday.

Tails looks at the birthday breakfast, then to the gift, then back up to Wave as she talks about wanting to make him birthday dinner also. He smiles warmly at her, feeling better than he ever had before on his birthdays. " Wave... I... Thank you... I really appreciate this... All of it. "

But then, his smile grew a tad mischievous as he leaned forward a little, inspecting his food as he does.

" But you've been holding out on me. Never knew you were good at cooking. "

It was that time of year again when the temperature began to drop but it's yet to hit its lowest yet. The perfect time to bust out the heavier sheets and blankets for the bed and spend longer than normal wishing you could stay under them. But, this time around, he wasn't alone in his own bed.

No, now he had Wave to join him. The choice for them to be sharing a bed technically hadn't been made yet, just as any other discussion regarding sharing a living space or property hadn't been discussed either. Still a lot to talk about in regards to her and their baby.

For now, though, none of it really mattered. She was sleeping in his bed, admittedly because they'd spent the day together, and he was holding her close. His already thickening fur, the warmth of the blankets, and having her close to him while holding her stomach had the fox in his own deep and pleasant slumber.

Kissing with a beak may have once been hard, but after all they've gotten away with, it's become almost too easy now. Hands against her waist, eyes closed, lips against beak. It all felt right.

And, if he may be so bold, after all the shock and worry wore off, the knowledge that they were going to have a baby together made it just feel all the better too.

After staying like that for a moment, he eventually pulled away from her with a smile as he gazed softly at Wave. Y'know, now that he got the chance to just be as open with his feelings as he wanted to be with her, he could easily see and say that she was beautiful.

But, he wasn't done yet. No, now he had to crouch down and place a kiss on Wave's stomach. Even if she was far from any stage where she'd start showing, but he couldn't help himself.

" Can't forget about them either! Babies remember all kinds of things while still in the womb. And while they might not be that far along yet, if we start early on, I think they'll have felt like they were loved their entire life. "
