Post Max-death, Jason inviting Richie and Ruth and Pete and all the nerds to a party and Ruth gets drunk and Pete hands her over to a mostly sober Richie so he can continue talking to Steph and Ruth drunkenly confesses to Richie and he doesn't understand/thinks it's a joke at first until she lets it all out and he just sits there in silence for the rest of the night and doesn't bring it up until some day where they're studying in the library after school (without Pete bc he was sick) and Richie subtly brings it up so now they have to awkwardly confront their feelings because they're two stupid teens who've never been in relationships before and Pete shows up at school the next day and they're holding pinkies and blushing and Max doesn't kill them and they live happily ever after the end send tweet

I actually wrote this like a month and a half ago, but I thought no one would care since Flipschitz is kind of a rare ship, but then I saw one Flipschitz post in the 'recent' section of the Nerdy Prudes Must Die hashtag, so here we are.

Some ideas for a "Nerdy Prudes Must Die" AU where Ruth and Richie survive their attacks and also maybe kiss.

I had to do a weirdly large amount of research on wedgies, and now my search history is even weirder than it was before. Anyway, Ruth sustained severe injuries to the entire pelvic region (I won't go into too much detail, there's actually a lot of internal organ damage that can come from a high-force wedgie) including damage to the sacrum and sacral nerves. She now has limited mobility in her legs and uses a wheelchair when out and about.

Richie has several large scars on his face and torso, which he thinks make him look super cool and edgy. He also developed a lung infection from inhaling toilet water, and while he recovered, the infection permanently damaged his lungs and worsened his asthma, so he now carries his inhaler with him everywhere. I like to imagine he gets himself a cool bag and decorates it with pins from his favorite media.
