float-on-okay replied to your post: some okc messages I've received in the past two days and my snarky comments about them
hey three $ is a lot more than one. (jk I keed you kno ilu & h8 dickbags)
this is why you're my best friend. (p.s. ilu2 duh)
what program do you use to edit pictures? I love them!
Aww thanks!
I use Photoshop CS6 :)
I've been tagged, and I'm bored, so...
Rule 1: post the rules
Rule 2: answer all the questions the tagged set for you, and then set eleven of your own.
Rule 3: tag eleven people and link them to your post.
1. What is your name [if you could pick any name at all]?
I'll stick with Kevin, thanks.
2. What is your quest?
To dream the impossible dream, to reach the unreachable star, and to follow that star. No matter how hopeless. No matter how far. And all that jazz.
3. What is your favorite color?
I don't really have one...blue, I guess.
4. Where would you like to go?
Well, right now I want to go home for break. But in general, I want to just go. I want to travel and never settle down. At least for now.
5. What makes you happy?
Oh, lots. I think I'm most happy reading a book or watching an animated Disney movie.
6. What movie do you want to see this week?
I've fallen behind on what is still in theaters. Are Lincoln and Skyfall still there because I want to see them?
7. What is your favorite thing about yourself?
My sense of humor.
8. What five books should everyone read?
Atlas Shrugged, The Gold Coast series (anything by Nelson Demille really), The Sun Also Rises, Their Eyes Were Watching God, and It's All Over but the Shoutin'.
9. Is there something you were taught in life that you have come to think is ill-advised or ridiculous?
I think the idea that we should just obey authority without questioning it is ill-advised and ridiculous.
10. Do you spend more time considering the past or the future? Or are you like Ted Mosby and you don’t live in Ohio, but rather, you live in the moment?
I jump between the three quite frequently. Right now I'm living in my vacation this weekend and avoiding the present, but I have a tendency to reminisce and become absorbed in the present at times.
11. If you could write a haiku about how you feel right now, what would it look like?
It would probably be three lines with the first being five syllables long. No more. No less. This first line would be followed by a line seven syllables long, which may or may not rhyme with the first. Then I would conclude with an also optionally rhyming five syllable line. And these numbers of syllables are not to be changed. The numbers 5,7, and 5 must remain. It shall not be 6,7,5 nor 5,8,4, nor any other combination of syllables.
Questions for you:
You're trapped in a book as a new character. Which book is it, and how do you change/affect the plot and other characters?
What book are you currently or have you most recently read?
Is there any era you prefer to now? If possible, would you leave now for then?
What song has been stuck in your head recently?
What interesting word do you like most?
Do you collect anything?
Who is your favorite band?
Who is you favorite author?
Is there a universal rule you try to live by?
Do you get out of bed on the right or left side?
If Jimmy has 10 cookies and Sally has 5, how many times will Jimmy's mom nag him until he gives Pat a video game?
float-on-okay replied to your post: Sandy has been uneventful so far.
because it won’t really hit until about 8am tomorrow, and the worst will be around 3pm?
I heard the worst will be tomorrow night? All I know is that our Chem test is postponed!
Rules:
Post the rules
answer the questions the tagger wrote and then make up 11 new ones
tag 11 people and link them to your post
let them know they’ve been tagged
1. If you had to live on one food for the rest of your life, what would you pick?
Oh my goodness, umm, either macaroni and cheese or strawberries.
2. Ideally, where would you like to live for the rest of your life?
Ideally? I'd like to be hired at a publishing house in London and live smack dab in the city and have a small little flat and possibly meet/marry Benedict Cumberbatch. So, London.
3. What are you most proud of (an accomplishment, a possession, a personality trait, etc.)?
I was really proud of lots of the articles I wrote this year for my New Yorker class. I've never felt more proud of my writing.
4. In 20 years, do you think you’ll still be friends with people you’re friends with now?
I don't want to my cynical, but I feel like my friend group may dwindle down these next few years, but I'm positive a handful of us will be tight our entire lives.
5. Put your music player on shuffle and list the first five songs that come up. Now, give a memory or story to go along with each of them.
One and Only-Adele...Baking cookies on a rainy day, belting this song (badly).
Cold December Night-Michael Buble...Secret Santa and hot cocoa with the floormates
Carry On- fun....THE BEST CONCERT OF MY LIFE
Barton Hollow-The Civil Wars...Errrr, I just remember belting this song in my room a lot haha
On and Off Again-Sondre Lerche...That one time I fell in love with Sondre Lerche
6. Tell me about your earliest childhood memory.
I remember my neighbors and I were playing tag with our eyes closed, and I fell on the ground, and my neighbor sat on my face, and I thought I was going to die like that: with a butt on my face.
7. Who is one musician you hope to see in concert some day?
SONDRE LERCHE. I LOVE HiS NORWEGIAN-NESS.
8. What is one book you think everyone needs to read and why?
Oh god. Errr, well, I'm always recommending books to people, but the one book that I've recently been pushing my friends to read is The Book Thief. Classic.

Avatar: The Last Airbender!
10. Write a haiku about the object closest to you.
Chocolate wrapper
Why are you empty? Oh, wait
Because I ate you.
