flooded AU?

After the calamity, Hylia flooded Hyrule, so when Link wakes up 100 years later, it’s to a botw/Windwaker mashup where he gets the king of Red Lions instead of a paraglider. He battles Ganon in a bubble at the bottom of the sea. Link is now the captain of a rag-tag crew with a much larger ship.

I envisioned it as taking place after the game tho. Link respectfully takes Zelda to Kakariko, and leaves. He pops in every few months with reports to Impa and some sort of bashful gift for Zelda.

Until one day his ship sets out from Kakariko and he finds a stow-away on board.

"FLOODED" pages 1-4 <- new au/story that y'all's have to deal with now

You guys may recognize this gundo, from a different post of mine. Cause it's already a pre-existing gundo that has lore!!! So like, some time ago I was catching up on Sean's videos and watched his "flooded apocalypse" video. From that I got the idea of throwing that Sean at my aquatic gundo, and now I have a whole story set in place for them. I have a soft spot for this gundo, and the lore I have for him is really cool!!! imo, that is. But anyways

I really like your objectified au, but I'm kinda confused about this au? Like, what really is this au about?

it’s an au basically where eggstrom gets out of hand

as the name of the au implies this flood is a lot bigger than any of the usual ones we’ve seen so far and there no source of drainage im thinking hive cores would block them

Any parasites that come in contact with people at first would infect but after a while since theres no source of people to infect in the water id imagine there’d be a dormant stage where larvae sink to the bottom and the water becomes i dunno non-infesstible. The water isn’t the problem its the things in it.

As parasites evolve like we’ve seen in the actually comic id think most would take the form of more aquatic things rather than bug-like features (think shrimp). Im working on some concepts for what the parasites/assimilated would eventually look like.

Food becomes a lot less available, safety zones pop up where tall buildings are, common places where people can reach (just dont go into any buildings where you see something off .. teehee foreshadowing). With specifically the characters scarce food does greatly impact them, specifically spool and citrus, victims are a lot harder to reach, so they have to resort to extremes most of the times. Everyone does.

Sorry for this post being so long I’ve been really wanting someone to ask about it, ill probably make more posts explaining if ppl need but for now my hands hurt from typing so adios
