So, I happen to be in an area that is going to be affected by a hurricane, and I find this little dude in front of my neighbor's door! He is now safe inside. Hopefully, after the storm leaves and pet stores open I can get him some food and a proper tank.

His name is Milton, of course.

Happy to say we got through hurricane Milton with no damage, no flood. but we did lose power for about 36 hours.

There are about 4 big trees down in my complex, branches and leaves everywhere, some street signs fell, but its not overly bad.

I got a turtle out of it so yeah.

I hope everyone else who were affected are ok as well.

when you hear about hurricanes and the flooding they cause, as well as seeing the images, its crazy. but experiencing the aftermath in person is totally different.

my mom and her boyfriend had to evacuate their house late last night for higher ground, as water breached their sandbags.

today we went down to help clean up and it was just....crazy. water lines along houses showing how high it got, sea grass, dirt, trash all over the place.

unfortunately my mom did lose a lot of belongings but they have a place to stay while they go through the insurance and damages for everything.

Florida is a bit flooded tonight. Yes I did indeed walk around in flood waters cause I am Floridian and don't care lmao
