so you remember that book-by-mail program my library is instituting that i was super excited about (still am)? i got my first book today but uh...the canvas mail bags they're using...aren't waterproofed. they dumped it on my welcome mat in the middle of a rainstorm...

they...did not think this entirely through...

#i've already emailed them about the oversight so hopefully they can take steps to protect any future books going out #and i've laid it out to dry as quickly as possible #but uh...yeah #this is florida #that ain't gonna work #i'm gonna send it back in a ziploc so it doesn't get any FURTHER water damage

So today as I left my cafe I smiled at my friend and told him I was done for the day and I would see him later. He smiled and nodded, if I stayed any longer I would end up crying. So. Maybe I will see him later.
