With the Florida Democratic primary coming up sooner than later on March 17th, y’all know I don’t play around with my absentee ballot! Well, it’s signed, sealed, and soon to be delivered to the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections! I don’t take my right to vote for granted, especially during these perilous times. First, VOTE! Second, let me talk to you about MY GOVERNOR! Yes, I said it! @andrewgillum is my FL governor! I know early voting is still happening until Sunday and Election Day is not until next Tuesday, but I read #TheSecret and you have to say what you need in your life into the universe if you want them to happen! So...God and the universe, Im praying because I'm going to need Mayor Gillum to become FLORIDA GOVERNOR GILLUM on November 6th! This man is progressive and wants to bring positive change to the great state of Florida! Medicare for all, higher pay for teachers, higher minimum wage, help bring back the film and TV industry to Florida and more! On top of that, he has a comprehensive plan (unlike his opponent) where he lays out how he will make it all happen. Now some of you may think I'm only voting for him because he's a Black man. Do I love the fact that he is a Black man who loves his wife R. Jai and their three kids? YES! Do I love the fact he comes from one of the greatest universities in the world, THE Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University? YES! I may have not gone there, but the most intelligent people I know graduated from #FAMU (my parents and my brother @djjizzle2306 )!!! But guess who else is a Black man? Ben Carson and his ass won't even get a look from me, let alone a vote. I need y'all to go out and VOTE for Gillum! The same old mess that Rick Scott and the Orange Cheeto has caused is not working for Floridians anymore and we need someone who is actually looking out for us! First, VOTE! Second, you all (regardless of party lines) should vote YES on Amendment 4! What's Amendment 4? Well let me tell you: the amendment will ensure ex-felons (which happens to be majority people of color) who have served their jail time will have their voting rights restored. That means 1.4 millions Florida citizens will regain their right to vote! Right now, ex-felons have to wait SEVEN YEARS after they are released to even apply for voting restoration, then wait another TEN YEARS due to government backlog for the application to be processed, and current FL governor Rick Scott has denied the majority of these applications because the applicants didn't choose Republican as their party affiliation. THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN AND IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED! I'm asking all of you to vote Yes on Amendment 4, so we can do better as a state! We should be setting the trend, not following it.
