Calling all Prodigies! The movement to get Prodigal Son renewed on Twitter seems to be ineffective. It’s time to band together and change strategies to get our voices heard! We must find another way. I remember that the fans of Friday Night Lights sent little footballs to whomever was responsible for the cancelling the show. Why can’t we do something similar? Let’s bombard Fox and every streaming service we can think of by sending something (appropriate and non-threatening) to them. Comment with any and all ideas and spread the word! Prodigies never say die! Also, please because this is getting ridiculous. Literally no one is getting any kind of response from these people. We want our show back.
I’m tired of all these reality shows getting renewed for their 25th season filled with people wanting their 15 minutes of fame and mostly acting completely horrid to others. Is that entertainment now? Watch sleezy people try to hook up with other sleezy people? Are we so numb to intelligent and thoughtfully written shows and movies that we rather see housewives hate each other and cry in their mansions? Is that all we have now?
Instead of seeing representation of mental health in shows that actually are helpful for those of us who struggle with those issues, we get people who’s life style, who’s looks we can never have nor should we be made to feel like we have to. That is far more damaging and yet that’s what gets renewed every year.
It’s surface level crap. Gossip and drama made to look real and reel us in like rats following the pied piper.
Well, I’m done with that. Reality will probably not go away, but if we stand together and make a statement that Prodigal Son and other well-written shows deserve more than they get because they actually help people. Prodigal Son was exciting and made me feel that although I have mental health issues, I can still do amazing and cool things.
We might lose this battle, my fellow Prodigies, but let’s not go down without a fight. Let’s make it known that Prodigal Son should be renewed and that mindless reality shows have had their time but it’s time to move on. They need to be better not greedy. And we need an answer at the very least.
Time to change strategies. Let’s brainstorm ideas and put them into action. Malcom didn’t give up finding out about the girl in the box. He wanted answers. We want answers too. Fight with me and be loud and don’t give up!
