I'm making a flow toy and looking for a US based artist to do the surface designs on the blades of a flow toy I'm making in exchange for a pair when I'm done with them. They're blades like this
1.5 ish hour charge time, 3-6 hour run time. We can talk about patterns if you want something specific or want to design the laser etched surface design according to the light positions or something since the light will sort of 'follow' the etched patterns on the blades. I don't intend on selling these, so your design would be purely for my set and your set, not commercial. It's maker stuff, 3d printed handle, hand soldering, not a production level thing - so it will be a little less professionally finished than the $400 sets you see online, but it will work and be cool and be your art on a neat thing. Hit me up if you're interested, right now I plan to just use a fractal generator or hexagons or something, but I'd prefer to do a trade with an artist who wants their art on them for a set.
