Flowerpaw was always a serious, no-nonsense kind of cat, or at least, that's how his clanmates perceived him. In reality, he had a sense of humor hidden underneath his need to be the perfect warrior. He was a confident cat, but he often found himself overexerted from all the watchful eyes on him. As an apprentice, he had a slight crush on Haypaw, Cloverpaw, and Sagepaw. But his brother had a big crush on Cloverpaw, and everybody knew Sagepaw mooned after Sparrowpaw (or at least, Flowerpaw always thought it was obvious), and he didn't want to ruin his friendship with Haypaw, so he never acted upon his crushes.

When he became a warrior, he was surprised when Hayflight asked him to be his mate- he had thought her nervousness was simply just her, not caused by a fear of him rejecting him. He agreed to be her mate and became loving and doting towards her.

Flowerspots was close to Hayflight and her sister, Cloverwing, so of course he originally didn't support Hopestar alongside them, despite the young she-cat having been his apprentice. Although, as time went on, he grew to respect Hopestar. When BoneClan rogues killed Hayflight, he turned all his anger onto them, only to meet his demise at their claws too.
