I’ve been asked a few times what is freediving? Freediving is a form of underwater diving sport that relies on your breath hold to descend and ascend without any usage of equipments. The reason of me wanting to learn freediving is superficial. “I just want to stay in water longer.” Introduction to the course was nothing but fun also perhaps I’m already very comfortable in the water to begin with. The only downside I do not fancy - theory. I’ve only started training regularly end February. My goal then was to “pass my test” hence I put myself in that “intense” weekly training sessions. I’ve come to appreciate and loving the sport. Freediving improved the mind as it hone focus. It helps to declutter my mind, a breather for me; irony I know. It’s a challenge mentally and also physically. It is also a personal challenge against oneself. Surpassing your boundaries teaches you that your body is capable of doing more than you ever thought possible. Reaching these kinds of personal limits, experiencing an inner peace like no other, and exploring the underwater world in total silence are some of the reasons why freediving is so so so amazing. It’s a wonderful holistic experience. . 🤿: @apnea42 📷: @vefvg @mirellerella . . . . . . . . . . #underthesea #plussizebeauties #selfloveoftheday #selflove #flowwithit #plussizemermaid #mermaidsuzanne #freediving #diving #dive #onebreath #underwater #freedivinglife #underwaterworld #oceanlover #divinglife #apnea #apnea42 #elios @eliossub https://www.instagram.com/p/CM37NwOBT3x/?igshid=16lhxj0d4upm7
