LEN: Hey. ...We haven't really talked since the other night. Other than work stuff. And I don't want to sound like some weird clingy girl, especially since we agreed that there were no strings, and that it was just a one night thing. I just wanted to let you know I had a good time.
VALENCIA: had been excited to see Amarion regardless of what was going on, but after she'd talked to Mari earlier, seeing him felt more like a need, instead of a want. She'd gone to his house, and picked up one of his cars like he'd asked, before going to the airport to pick him up. She'd spent a lot of the day crying in private, not wanting Marina to see her upset, but now she wished she could have been stronger, because she knew her eyes were red and puffy, and that wasn't how she wanted Amarion to see her. Stepping out of the car, she leaned against the door, spinning the key around on her finger as she waited to see him, trying to concentrate on her excitement, and forget her sadness.
VALENCIA: had put on real clothes that morning before leaving Amarion's, but after coming back, waking him up, crawling back into bed with him, and then bringing him breakfast, she'd somehow found herself in one of his t shirts now instead. She finished cleaning up from their breakfast, before making her way to the living room again, and finding him on the couch. Len grinned, making her way over to him, and planting herself on his lap, straddling him as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "So, I was thinking." She started, giving him a quick kiss, "I didn't realize you were so old. I mean, I was totally going to volunteer to take your birthday spanks for you, just to spare you, you know, but I just didn't realize how many that would be, I don't think I could handle it." She teased, grinning at him.
VALENCIA: jangled her keys around as she moved toward the desk, turning the light on in the office. She held the phone up so her face was showing, waiting for Amarion to answer. She wouldn't deny that whatever this gift made her nervous, she didn't know what to expect. Still, he had gotten for her, and if he wanted to see her face when she opened it, she owed him that. The office was almost eerie when no one was in there, no noise from everyone bustling around. Len sat down at his desk, waiting for him to answer before opening any of the drawers to find the gift. Her face lit up when she heard her phone ding signaling that he had answered. "Hey," She answered happily, waiting for him to respond.
WHAT: After getting jealous about Amarion interviewing, and flirting with a new PA at work, Valencia causes a scene and leaves. She calls out of work the next day, and Amarion shows up at her apartment (which her and Mari have a pact to never invite anyone to, ever.) to check on her.
NOTES: N/A.
Valencia didn't know what had come over the day before. But from the moment it happened, her mind hadn't stopped going crazy. It was like a giant blur, it all happened too fast to stop it, and yet the memory of it seemed to move in slow motion. At first she thought it was just the fact that Amarion was interviewing a personal assistant that sparked it. She'd been feeling insecure in her job, afraid that their personal life would come between them at work, but things had been going fine, she thought. But when she'd been told by another woman in the office that he was interviewing, her nerves seemed to bundle in her stomach. He had a meeting to go to in less than ten minutes, so she figured it wouldn't hurt to pop her head in and remind him, and just see who he was interviewing and how it was going. Except, that as she headed to his office, she wasn't expecting to see the door open. She knew she shouldn't have, but she hesitated outside of it, listening, out of sight, and she felt her heart practically stop as she the conversation flowing from the room. Heat rose in her cheeks, as she heard Amarion flirting, she couldn't be sure at first, but as she listened, it wasn't hard to tell. Except why did she care? And then why couldn't she stop herself before interrupting him, telling him he had his meeting, and then slamming the door behind her on her way out. She couldn't even stop herself as she grabbed her things and headed straight to her car and drove home, before the work day was even done. She hadn't brought herself to leave her apartment since. And she couldn't bring herself to tell Mari what had happened either, because clearly Amarion already had options to replace her lined up, she was sure he'd be more than happy to after the way she acted. So, after Mari left in the morning, she texted one of the other woman to let her know that she'd be out sick today. And instead, spent the day on her computer, searching for open positions for PA's and hoping to line up an interview before Mari got home and she had to tell her that she was probably in search of a job. Len finally took a break, and headed to their tiny kitchen area to make herself some tea, when she heard a knock on her door. No one knocked on their door. No one knew where they lived. Len froze in place, afraid to even open the door, but finally, stepped forward, and pulled it open. She didn't know how to react when she saw Amarion standing there, in fact, she was certain she was hallucinating. "What are you doing here?" She asked, her eyes wide.
Amarion hadn't spoken to Len in what feel like forever to him, although it really had only been a little less than a day. All he kept thinking about is if she had overheard him talking. It wasn't like he had a reason to be secretive about sleeping around, mostly because he was sure that the only thing going on between then was sex. So he was sure that he had no need to be secretive about getting with other girls, but yet he couldn't help but feel guilty about not handling it that way. wasn't sure if she had been upset with him after the incident at the office, or if it had been an accident and he was making it bigger than it actually was. It probably didn't help that she was there for the personal assistant interview, but since he's been 'trying to control his impulses' he probably wouldn't have hired her anyway, but that wasn't important at the moment. Hearing that she had called in sick, Amarion couldn't help but feel somewhat bad about how things left off between the two of them, if things were even off between them in the first place, so he wanted to make sure everything was okay. He knew caring about it was probably making what they were doing about more than the sex, but he couldn't have her being too upset with him. They did have to work together, even if he was considering trying to find her another job within the company. Asking the receptionist to look up Len'e address, he made sure he had time to run by the store before going to her place so he could get her a balloon or something to make her feel even then tiniest bit better, and maybe even ease the tension if there happened to be any. Grabbing the address, he put it in his phone and made his way on the route, making sure to look out for a drug store or something similar on the way. As he was driving, he realized she didn't know he was coming so he had no reason to rush, so he wasted no time stopping at the next store he passed. Getting out, he let out a deep breath as he walked in and went over to the aisle were the cards were. He wasn't sure if he was going to get her one, but it gave him to relax before seeing her, making sure it didn't seem like he cared too much about her being upset with him if it turned out that she was. Mindlessly walking through the store, he stopped and looked at a crate full of bears. He was sure getting one almost as big as her was unnecessary, but he had a bad habit of over compensating when he felt like he had done something wrong. He made the decision to get the bear, and he didn't manage to regret it as he was back on the road and finally at her apartment complex. It made him laugh once he realized that she wasn't joking about living on the fifth floor, but he could use the mini workout plus if he decided to turn back he had plenty of time to do so. Surprisingly, he made it all the way to the door, setting the bear on the ground and out of sight just in case she wasn't too happy about seeing him. Knocking lightly on the door, he waited for her to answer, and didn't stop the smile that painted itself on his face as the door began to open. His smile slightly faltered as he saw her expression. "I thought you were sick so I just wanted to check on you, but I can leave if you want. 'Cause by the look on your face I feel like this probably wasn't my best idea." He could understand her being surprised, but he wasn't too sure if his visit was unexpected or unwelcomed.
Valencia stood where she was, completely frozen, as she tried to process what he was saying, except she couldn't seem to even hear him over the heavy beating in her eats, as what she could only describe as dread filled her. She could practically feel the blood draining from her face, as she tried to close the door so it was just wide enough for her to stand in, hoping he couldn't see in to what was barely an apartment. Except, he'd already seen the rest of the place, it wasn't like he was an idiot, the place was falling apart, and there was a homeless man that lived at the front door. Sure, there apartment was clean, and well kept, but it wasn't even big enough for one person, let alone two, and the girls had made a promise that they would never take anyone home, never let anyone see it, never let anyone know exactly how poor they were. It was a promise that neither of them had broken, and here was Amarion, standing in her doorway, breaking that promise to her sister without her even having a say in it. Couple that, with the fact that she'd just called out of work sick, and here was her boss to call her out on it in person, after she'd been completely unprofessional and walked out the day before. She was pretty sure her and Mari would be joining Larry the homeless man on at the front step pretty soon. "You're..." She trailed off, shaking her head, trying to find anything to say to him, "You're not supposed to be here." She whispered, she knew Mari had left for work a few hours ago, and wouldn't be home for a few more, but she couldn't help but turn to look around the apartment and make sure she was alone. "Um. Come in, I guess." She finally said, stepping aside to let him into the apartment, deciding it was better to have him inside, rather than one of the neighbors seeing them talking and mentioning that she had a guest to Mari before Len had the chance to tell her what had happened herself.
Amarion was expecting something a little bigger, but it was their place and that's all that mattered. He couldn't judge her, not that he would, but even if he thought about it she could've been stuck in a motel. And it made him feel bad for thinking she'd prefer that compared to where she was staying right now. He didn't think there was any reason behind them not hanging out at her place, excluding the fact that she lived with her sister, but now things were starting to click for him. It finally made sense as to why she thought he would think she didn't have money to buy the tickets to go him. It was slowly starting to come together for him, but in the process of his small revelation he realized it wasn't any of his business so he decided not to think much about it as he brought his attention to her. He had only come over to check on her, so he hoped that his vision would've been somewhat accepted but he was wrong. Showing up unannounced already seemed like a bad idea, especially since he hadn't been over until today. If his hopes weren't completely dashed of her being happy to see him, they were now as he practically watched the color fall from her face. He wasn't sure how to react as he caught her words. He had a feeling this might have been him over stepping his boundaries, but maybe it would be better if she knew he was only doing this because he cared. Amarion had caught a glimpse of the place as she opened the door, but he silently realized it was a bit smaller than he thought. He didn't the let smile fall from his lips as he turned back to her, wanting to say something but being at a loss of words. Pulling the bear from behind his back, he extended his arm out and offered it to her. "I got you this. I was hoping it would make you feel better, but if you don't want it then I'll take it back. I would've brought soup or something," he rambled, as he admitted it. "But I wasn't sure exactly what you were sick with so I didn't want to get something you wouldn't have ate..." He trailed off, not bothering to look at anything else but her as he spoke.
Valencia bit her lip nervously as she waited for him to say something, wether it was about her apartment, or that she was fired, and she didn't know which was worse at this point. She frowned when he held out the bear, closing the door behind him, she took it from him, sighing. "Thank you." She whispered, unsure of what the gesture meant, but Len opened the door to her and Mari's, and soon Javi's bedroom, and placed it on her bed, the one closest to the door, before stepping back out and closing the door again. She knew she wasn't acting normally, but she didn't know what else to do, this situation was so foreign to her. "Why don't you sit down." She said, gesturing to the couch, and waiting for him to walk into the living room. "I think we bot know I'm not sick." She said, her anger returning from the day before as she remembered why she wasn't at work right now.
Amarion felt like he was just making mistake after mistake as soon as he stepped in front of the door, but he was happy that she took the bear instead of telling him she couldn't take it. Taking the offer to sit down, he walked over to the couch and made himself comfortable as he looked at her. He wasn't sure if it was him or not, but things between the two of them seemed a bit tense. "Yeah. I see that now." He stated, noticing the slight change in her tone. He had hoped she wasn't too upset with him, but it was obvious that it was another thing he wasn't going to be right about today. "So we gonna talk about the other day or is this gonna be something we're gonna ignore?" He asked, not sure what he wanted her to say as he waited for an answer.
Valencia sat on the opposite end of the couch, her legs crossed in front of her, knees pulled into her chest. Len jutted her jaw out at his question, staring off at the wall, instead of at him for a few seconds, before looking down. "Sure." She said, finally looking up at him. "What should we talk about first? You interviewing for a new assistant, or you flirting with her?" She shot, though she wished she hadn't, but her anger had returned, and she felt hurt by the whole thing. And maybe jealous, just a little. "Or maybe you'd like to skip that and just talk about how when you fire me, I'm not going to be able to even afford this shit hole of an apartment. You know, I don't get it, Amarion. You said you liked me, you said I was a queen...You said all of these things and what? I didn't say it back, so you're good? On to the next one? Was buying me those tickets to Arizona some kind of parting gift, or just charity? I know you said you'd hooked up with your assistants in the past, so I guess it's on me that I somehow felt like I was special, but if I'd realized I was just another notch in your bedpost..." She trailed off, realizing how upset she was, and sucked in a sharp breath, "So, if that's it, if you're here to fire me, just get it over with, please. Mari and I made a pact that we'd never let anyone see this place, or see how bad we live, so let's not make it drawn out, because you shouldn't be here when she gets home from work."
Amarion couldn't respond fast enough as Len began to speak, and he was almost glad because he could tell that this talk had been one they needed to have but were just avoiding. Everything he heard was somewhat insulting, in fact he was almost surprised she hadn't slapped him yet, but he couldn't be upset because he felt like he deserved it to some extent. He hadn't realized his actions didn't come off as sentimental as he wanted them to, but he could understand why she would be upset about him trying to find her a replacement. Her being upset about him flirting was confusing to him, but he could tell now that it was more than just him looking for another assistant. Amarion wouldn't admit it in that moment, but he was offended that she would think that she didn't mean anything to him. He could understand why she wouldn't think that, but he'd liked to think that she didn't think he was entirely heartless when it came to what whatever they were doing. Standing up, he cleared his throat as he looked down at her. "I didn't come over here to fire you. Seemed kind of rude to do where you live, but it's nice to know you think I'm that kind of person." He tried his best to not sound snippy, but he was sure he failed as he quickly walked over to the door. It was obvious that he wasn't wanted there, and he had no intention of over staying his welcome, so he tried not to think about it as hurried out the door.
Valencia watched as he stood up her eyes widening again. She rambled when she was nervous, she always had, and she wasn't one to get mad often, but when she did, that stupid rambling turned into ranting, and she'd speak so fast, she could barely remember what she'd even said, so when Amarion stood, all she knew was that she had said something horrible. But when he spoke, her heart dropped into her stomach. What did that mean? That he was planning to fire her when she got came back to work tomorrow, instead? She felt like her blood had run cold, she didn't want him to leave for a lot of reasons, but the fact that she'd put herself and her sister in a position that they might not even be able to afford a place had her too scared to even speak. It was exactly why she'd been afraid to get into this thing with Amarion to start with, she was afraid of it coming in the way of her job, of her livelihood. She was frozen with fear, until she wasn't anymore. Hearing the door shut, she shot to her feet, following him into the hallway, "Amarion," She said, trying to get his attention before he could leave, "What does that mean?" She asked, her voice practically frantic, "I'm sorry." She whispered, "I'm sorry for what I said, I'm sorry for what I did...And for whatever I did that made you feel like you needed to hire someone new, but please...Just give me another chance." She whispered, shoving her hands in the back pockets of her jeans to make them stop shaking. She hated that she was practically begging, she had way too much pride, she couldn't remember begging for anything in her entire life, even as a child, but it was about a lot more than just her, it was about her sister, and her brother, and they were a lot more important than her pride. "Whatever I need to do, just tell me, and I'll do it, but I need this job. I can't-....I can't survive without it. And clearly, I'm a horrible person, and you don't owe me anything but...Please."
Amarion didn't want to believe that Len meant most of what she was saying, but he would understand if she did. He wasn't doing his best at letting how he really felt about her outside of the few times he found himself telling her, but that always made him somewhat upset when he heard her talking bad about herself. "Why are you so quick to take the blame for everything?" It wasn't his intention to turn back as quick as he did, but he couldn't help himself as he heard her insult herself. "None of this is your fault. Well maybe a little to agreeing to do this, but everything after that is my fault. You said it was just sex, but instead of keeping that in mind I caught feelings, and in the process of trying to work that out I've managed to mess up whatever this is." He admitted, letting out a deep breath as he inched closer to the stairs. He wasn't trying to get rid of her or anything, but he wasn't too enthusiastic to hear what she had to say anything to him. "You don't have anything to be sorry for and I'm sorry that I made you feel that way," he said as he retracted and took a step closer to her. This was all too familiar to him, if they changed the topic if their conversation, it could be any conversation they've had in the past and they made him feel like even more of a problem. He could tell how much it meant to her that she didn't lose her job, and it made him feel like he was the horrible one in this situation. "You're not gonna lose your job, Len. If it makes you feel any better, she was far too willing to sleep with me for that to even work out for longer than a few weeks." His comment wasn't necessary, but he didn't know what else to say at this moment. He could've opted for being silent, but that would have been unlike him in a moment like this.
Valencia frowned at his question, but was grateful to at least see that he'd stopped, "Because it's my fault." She whispered. Len didn't know what to say when he continued to speak, so she didn't say anything. For once in her life, she didn't ramble on nervously, and she was grateful for that, but wished that she could say something. When he finally said she wasn't going to lose her job, tears welled up in her eyes, they'd been building for quite a while, but she hadn't dared to let them come to the surface, until now. Maybe it was the relief, she wasn't sure, but she definitely felt relief. Even if his second comment did giver her paused, she sighed. "You didn't mess this up. I didn't even think any of it was messed up, until I heard that you were interviewing a new PA. I thought everything was fine, so whatever it was that I did, I'm sorry." She frowned, wiping away her tears and staring at the floor for a few seconds before meeting his eyes again. "I like working for you, and I like sleeping with you, and I like you as a person, and...If I'm being really honest, I probably like you as more than just a friend, or the guy I'm sleeping with, or my boss...But I have to put my job first. I mean, you see where I live...having steady money has to be my first priority, so if you feel like you can't work with me anymore, if you're trying to replace me, wether it's because you don't want to, because you have feelings, or you're just done with whatever we are, or whatever it is, that made you bring her in for an interview, then tell me, so that I can start looking for another job." She shrugged.
Amarion had a feeling he wouldn't win that argument with her, so he just let out a small sigh at her response. It was him who upset her in the first place, so he truthfully didn't think she was at fault, but he knew there was no way he could convince her of that. Seeing the tears form in her eyes almost made Amarion feel as bad as the night he had given her the tickets, but he tried not to think about it as much as she wiped them away. He always felt tempted to do it for her, considering both times it has happened it's been because of him, but he decided against it as he listened to her speak. When she said she liked him he almost found himself interrupting her, just to get her to explain what she meant by that but he decided against it. Amarion did his best not to smile as he realized that she was probably interested in him, which made him somewhat upset that he finally has the chance that he's always wanted to tell her about his feelings, but he didn't know what to say or how to say it so he just ignored it this time around. "Do you think you could still work with me knowing that you like me that much?" He asked, hoping that she would say yes, but of course he would be fine with whatever her answer was. "If you can then you can keep your job, if not then I can get a job working for my dad just so you aren't looking for a job for long. Or not if you decide you wanna be away from me, then I could do my best to help you find something." He didn't like the idea of not seeing her everyday around the office, but if she chose to leave he doubt he could talk her out of it.
Valencia licked her lower lip, trying to figure out how they'd gotten here. "It's not-...I don't have a problem working for you. Whatever feelings I have aren't an issue for me when it comes to work, but you were the one interviewing someone to replace me, and I still don't even know what I did wrong that you felt like you needed to, so my feelings aren't really the deciding factor here." She explained, trying to make sense of it, because she still had no idea where this had all stemmed from. When he continued she sighed, "Of course I want to work for you, but I don't want to feel like this. I don't want to feel like I'm in fear for my job because I've done something I'm completely unaware of and you're just going to interview for someone to replace me and then I'm out of a job with no warning. I just...I don't get it, Amarion. I don't get what I did, or why you're here, or anything."
Amarion sighed as he listened, taking a step closer to her but made sure to keep his distance as he spoke to her. "You didn't do anything wrong. I just like you, and I thought maybe if you weren't my PA that maybe I'd have a chance. I was just gonna try to find you another job within the company that way you wouldn't be dating your boss, so I wasn't trying to get rid of you. But now I see that I probably could've handled this whole thing a lot better so I'm sorry for that." He knew a lot of their problems could be solved if they talked about them, but they didn't know even know what they were so talking about feelings wasn't really an option on the table for them. "I'm here because I care about you. I'm sorry about bringing that girl into the office and I'm sorry about flirting with her. I like you and I thought this would help but it only made it worse, so I'm sorry I messed this all up. I understand if you don't accept the apology, 'cause I wouldn't either, but I really am sorry."
Valencia eyes widened when he first spoke, about to interrupt and ask why he thought he had a better chance of getting with her if he'd fired her than if she worked for him, but stopped herself when he said he was trying to get her another job in the company, before letting out a small sigh. "Stop." She said softly when he apologized, stepping forward, "You don't have to apologize, you didn't mess anything up, you should have just told me beforehand." Len rested a hand on his forearm, giving him a small smile, "I'm sorry that I got so freaked, and that I thought the worst, I just always jump to the worst case scenario, and when I thought it was my job at risk, I guess I just went a little crazy." She chuckled, stepping closer to him, closing almost all the space between them, "And I'm sorry for crying. Again. And I guess I should also say that I'm sorry that I maybe, got, you know, kind of a little bit jealous, when I heard you flirting with her." She admitted, blushing slightly, and holding up her thumb and pointer finger about an inch apart. "Why don't you come back inside and sit down, we can talk about how much you like me, and how you care about me, and want to date me." She smirked.
Amarion knew she was right. The situation right now didn't seem like the appropriate time to admit his feelings for her, but coming to her about them beforehand would mean he'd have to do it sooner, and he wasn't ready for that since he didn't know if they were to be reciprocated. "I get that, and I really am sorry for making you think that your job was in danger. You've been the only PA that has stuck around for longer than a couple of months, so it'd be kind of hard to get rid of you believe it or not." He glanced down at her as she moved closer, scoffing and rolling his eyes at her statement. "Just a little bit?" He asked, "when you slammed to door practically everybody on the floor that day heard it, so a little bit might be an understatement." He teased as he followed her inside. This wasn't what he imagined when he fantasized about telling Len how he felt, but the sooner it happened the better, even if the very thought of it made him nervous. It had been driving him crazy trying to figure out if she wanted him the same way he wanted her, and if she didn't where would they go from there. "I'm not the only one who's got some talking to do. I mean you did say you liked me more than just a friend and the guy you're sleeping with, so I'm gonna need you to elaborate on that a little more."
Valencia nodded when he spoke, smiling up at him, "I know, and it's okay, so you can stop apologizing, okay?" She grinned and then laughed softly when he spoke again, blushing as she nodded in agreeement, "I can't help it, I've got a fast temper, it runs in the family," she shrugged. Len closed the door behind them again. It was still an odd feeling to have him in her apartment, but at least she wasn't upset anymore. Rolling her eyes when he said she needed to elaborate, but only because she didn't know what to say. Truthfully, she hadn't really even realized she'd had those kinds of feelings until she got so jealous, and then it kind of hit her all at once. "I'm not really sure I can. So maybe you should elaborate first." She said, sitting back on the couch.
Amarion always felt bad about upsetting Len and even thou she forgave him every time, he couldn't help but feel relieved every time it happened. "I wanted to be mad at you, but I knew I couldn't be. I'd be pissed I were you too. Plus you're kinda hot when you're mad." He commented, smirking at her as he walked over to the couch and sat down. "There's not really much to elaborate on. I like you and I want to be with you. Is the feeling mutual or should I quit while I'm ahead?" He asked, not bothering to sit back on the couch, too focused on what she was going to say to let himself relax. He kept trying to tell himself that he would be okay with whatever she had to say, but he knew that if he didn't get the answer he was expecting it would bother him.
Valencia raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing at her lips when she heard his words, "You wanted to be mad at me?" She asked, and then blushing when he said she was hot. Her smile fell slightly at his next words. Not because she didn't want to hear them, but because she didn't really know what to say back. "No, the feeling is completely mutual but...You're still my boss." She frowned, biting her lower lip. "It's your dads company, and that makes me nervous." She sighed, reaching for one of his hands, staring at the watch she'd bought him for his birthday, and sighed. She didn't know why it had taken her so long to realize she had feelings for him. She'd been saving up for tickets home and was normally so responsible about money, but had no problem spending more money on a watch for him than any jewelry she'd ever bought herself. It was lucky that he'd bought the tickets for her, even if she'd had trouble accepting them, but how'd she been so oblivious to her feelings? Len stood, her fingers still laced through his but she stepped closer, resting her forehead against his chest for a few seconds, before looking up and resting her chin against his chest instead. "If we do this, I need to take it slow. Like, really slow. And if you can't handle that, then we shouldn't even start this, you know? So what do you want to do?"
Amarion hated how easy it was to admit little things to her even though he never meant to. He shrugged at her question as he kept his eyes on her. "Yeah. You slammed the door and on top of that, you didn’t even tell me bye. Worth being mad if you tell me." His words weren't meant to be taken serious in their entirety but there was some truth to them. "We could keep it between us if that's what you want. Obviously you can tell Mari and everyone else you're close to, but we could just keep it an us kind of thing. If that's what you're nervous about, if not then just ignore all of that." He wasn't sure if that's what she was getting at, but he was willing to keep them a secret if that's what she wanted their relationship to be like. "I mean as long as I get to be with you, I'm down with whatever. If I wasn't sure that I wanted this, I probably wouldn't have said anything at all. So we can take it as slow as you need to take it. Just let me know when I'm getting too ahead of myself." Amarion had a knack for going overboard, and from the things he's done for Len he's noticed even his version of simple was still too much, so he would prefer her to tell him when he was being too much. "Maybe I should get going. I did remember you saying something about Mari coming home, and I don't wanna run into her and have her be anymore mad than she's already gonna be." Glancing down at his watch, he quickly pressed a kiss to her lips and hugged her tightly.
Valencia smiled softly and nodded, "Well, I'm sorry for slamming the door, and not saying bye in that case." She offered, not that he seemed to still be mad, but she'd let her anger get the best of her, and had acted rashly. "That is part of it, and I do want to keep it between us, yeah. But it's not just that." She sighed, biting into her bottom lip, as she tried to think about how to say what she wanted to say. "I'm not the easiest person to date, I think. I'm really bad at letting myself open up, to anyone." She admitted, and then shrugged, "So, if we take it slow, and then I fuck it up, it's not so bad, but if we jump in and I fuck it up, I'll feel like I fucked up a lot worse. So maybe we could just start with, you know, a date, or something." Watching as he looked at his watch, she nodded, "She won't be mad at you, just at me, so don't worry. But I'd definitely rather she hear it from me, then walk in on you being here, so thank you. And thank you for coming to check on me, I appreciate it, even if I didn't show it." She smiled into the kiss, letting it linger on her lips even after he'd pulled away, "I'll see you on Monday."
