For @fluffyjuly Day 16 - Wings | “You look amazing”
Zelos wanted to make a flirty, over the top comment, as was his nature, but when he saw Lloyd like this, shirtless and with his wings out, beautiful and shining, he couldn’t help the stunned “You look amazing” that escaped him, sincerity evident in every syllable.
Lloyd blushed, his wings curling around his shoulders, brushing a hand trough his hair nervously.
“I don’t know.”
Zelos could still turn this around, say something teasing and bring it back into safer territory, but he couldn’t, not with Lloyd, not when he looked like he genuinely didn’t know how beautiful he was.
He stepped closer, lightly brushing his fingers over the edge of Lloyd’s wings, and Lloyd shuddered under the touch.
“You do”, he said, voice intimately low in the space between them.
Lloyd’s blush deepened, but he smiled, reaching out in turn to touch Zelos’ wings.
From anyone else, he wouldn’t have allowed it, he hated his wings, a constant reminder what he was, but when Lloyd whispered “So do you”, his cheeks still tinged red, Zelos had no choice but to believe him, leaning in to close the last distance between them and kiss him, pouring all his feelings into it.

Pairing: Mudano x Masumi x Kyoya (Tougen Anki)
-
"This can't be right. Someone made a mistake." Kyoya said as he stared at the single bed in the hotel room in disbelief. No, because he'd been specific that there needed to be three, even if they were small. Kyoya glanced at his companions, both were expressionless.
This single bed in the middle of the room that was sat across from a small-ish television wouldn't fit all three of them... would it? It'd certainly be a tight squeeze. Kyoya quickly shoved the thought from his mind. He shook his head then hurried over to the phone on the nightstand as he exclaimed, "I'll call the front desk and sort it out!"
After a brief conversation with the lovely lady at the reception desk, he hung up and shook his head. Ok. Time to tell the others. He turned towards Naito and Masumi then explained, "It turns out we can't get another room because the place is completely booked for the rest of the weekend."
Neither of his classmates responded. Fair enough. Someone messed up the reservation and no one was happy about it. He'd known these two long enough to read the silence in the room by now. Maybe he could find a way to smooth things over. Kyoya looked back at the bed then rubbed the back of his neck and muttered, "It's not so bad though... I guess? At least it's pretty big."
"Just because you confessed out of the blue doesn't mean I suddenly want to sleep with you," Masumi replied, blunt as ever. His unsettling expression remained the same as it always was.
"I didn't!" Kyoya yelped. His whole face felt like it was aflame. He shook his hands wildly as if they'd emphasize his point when he exclaimed, "I just said that I really love when the three of us are teamed up! Because working with you two is my favorite!"
"Stop embarrassing yourself already," Masumi said with that permanent smirk of his never leaving his face.
"You're s coldhearted, Massu!" Kyoya shrieked.
"Better it's with you two than any of our other classmates," Naito said mostly to himself.
"Wha-!? Danocchi?" Kyoya turned towards him totally slack-jawed. What'd he just say? He'd misheard the guy, right?
There was a brief moment of silence before Masumi turned towards the taller man and replied, "It sounds like you consider us your friends, mister loner."
"Of course he does, don't be ridiculous, Massu!" Kyoya interjected. They'd been friends since they day they met!
"Shut up." Masumi grunted.
"Arguing is peak inefficacy." Naito said to no one in particular. He made no effort to respond to that accusation, nor did he seem interested in continuing the conversation.
"Huh?" Kyoya and Masumi both looked towards him to find he'd already gotten under the covers.
"So fast!" Kyoya yelped. Though he had the right idea since they had to get up early in the morning and continue traveling for their current mission.
"Remember to keep your hands to yourself, pervert," Masumi said as he headed to the opposite side of the bed.
"Did you seriously just call me that... and I didn't confess." Kyoya sighed. He shook his head then pouted at the pair on either end of the bed with their backs to one another. Fully clothed and everything, neither looked comfortable in the slightest.
Guess that space in the middle was meant for him then. Not awkward in the slightest. Kyoya did his best to crawl into bed without disturbing the others. He managed well enough then laid on his back and stared up at the ceiling. Was he really supposed to get sleep like this? It felt impossible.
Still, he had no choice. He shut his eyes and did his best to forget all about the previous few minutes or the fact that he could literally feel the body heat of his best friends.
***
Kyoya awoke to the sounds of singing birds outside the window. That was nice. Sweet, he'd made it through the night. Victory! He went to stretch but realized his arms were trapped. Huh? He turned his head to the left and found himself nose to nose with Naito. He managed to bite back his surprised yelp and not wake the guy.
Danocchi...??
What was happening? Why was Naito clinging to him like an overgrown koala? He turned and looked to his right to find Masumi doing the exact same thing on the other side. Now he really felt like he needed to scream. Just who was the pervert here! Where was his hand reaching for!
Kyoya laid as still as could possibly be. He needed to figure out how to get out of this situation in the least chaotic way possible. If he just yelled and woke them both up somehow he felt like he'd be blamed for their current predicament when it was clearly not his fault. What should he do?
He turned towards Naito once again and blinked. Kyoya realized that he couldn't remember ever being this close to him before. He was really attractive up close. Like really attractive. It made Kyoya's chest feel a bit weird.
He turned and looked over at Masumi as well. Oh, come on. This guy shouldn't be good looking as well! Not with a foul mouth like he had, that just wasn't fair! Kyoya pouted. It was undeniable that both guys were stupid hot and that just made his whole face start to burn. Great. Now what?
Naito made a soft sound and started to move, a sign that he was waking up. Kyoya squeezed his eyes shut. This wasn't his fault a all. Blame the singular bed. He was still asleep, thus innocent!
He held his breath when Naito lifted his head and took a moment to assess the current situation. Surely he'd simply get up then Kyoya could follow suit when that side of the bed was freed. Any second now.
How he managed to suppress the surprised yelp that tried to escape him when Naito simply laid back down and tightened his grip on him instead, he had no idea. This was madness.
Kyoya really wished he could hide his burning face right now. He never could've predicted a routine mission would've lead him to a moment like this. Being trapped in bed between his unfairly attractive best friends was not something he knew how to deal with. Why him!
The mattress was threadbare, scattered with tears and mysterious stains, and to his little turtles, it was the best thing Splinter had brought them to date. A real bed like the humans had! They wasted no time clambering on, poking grabby fingers into the holes to play with loose stuffing and rolling into the dips in the broken-down padding.
“C’mon, Master Splinter!”
“Hmm? Oh, but this is your bed, my sons—”
“Finders keepers! You found it,” Raphael explained, “so obviously we’ll letcha keep it with us. C’mon!”
No more nights on the frigid sewer floors, not for any of them.
The dreaded thing has come true as he entered their assigned room.
There was only one single bed.
Kaito only had Miu to blame and her stupid teleporting gadget for transporting them to a middle of nowhere, and she isn’t even here!
If there is anything that could get worse than being stuck with Ouma fucking Kokichi is sleeping on the same room, on the same bed.
Ouma peeked behind Kaito, widened his eyes, and snickered. “Nishishishi, look, Momota-chan, one bed two people, I wonder what could happen.” He winked at Kaito. “I bet Shirogane-chan would be happy if she were here!”
Kaito whirled around to glare at him. “Get yourself another room!”
Ouma cackled. “Momota-chan, didn’t you forget we have to save as much as we can?” he ambled into the room, passing the shocked Kaito to shoot him a sideways, infuriating smirk. “And you know, it’s considered rude to shout at someone who paid for the room.”
A very unfortunate circumstance, Kaito cursed under his breath. The hotel they’re staying at was booked full, and the only room available for them was this single bed—it was just to show the world is out to get him, when even a hotel in the middle of nowhere is fully booked.
And the only who has money was Ouma Kokichi for some reason he carried a large amount of cash all the time, as if he anticipate this disaster.
In hindsight, Kaito ought to have more shame for shooing the person who paid for this overpriced hotel room out, his grandmother taugh him well! It just that after tracking the forest, and getting dirt on his beloved jacket, he couldn’t help but be cranky.
Ignoring his companion, Ouma approached the bed, which was a single bed only for one person, but if they were to cram in it, it would be enough for two people, spacious enough to toss and turn. Ouma hummed, pressing his hand on the bed, feeling his finger sink deep. For a middle out nowhere hotel they went out of the way for a luxury bed.
The bed bounced as Ouma plopped on top of it. He glanced back at Kaito, who had already laid out his makeshift bed—a jacket covering the floor and a single pillow—on the floor. Noticing this, his face pinched into a frown. “Hey, what are you doing? There is still plenty of space here!” He patted the spacious bed as if to drive further his point.
“I'm too tired to argue with you tonight.” Kaito settled himself as comfortably as he could on the sleeping bag. He zipped it up to his chin, turned to his side, and closed his eyes. “You can have all the spaces you want, Ouma, good night.”
Kaito does not need to see Ouma to know he is pouting. He couldn’t help but smirk, feeling he had received a rare win over the brat.
Of course, Ouma had to ruin it for him.
Just as the familiar drowsiness overtook him, unnoticed, a soft rustle passed over him.
Kaito's eyes flew open. Ouma greeted him with a grin, only a few centimeters of space separating them. “Momota-chan~”
“Ouma!” He shouted in his face. “What are you doing here?!”
“Sleeping, what else? I thought you would be happy to have me accompany you!”
“Then,” he looked back at the bed, where he could see a mound covered under the blankets. He could barely hide the fearful crack in his voice. “Who is that?”
“Mr. Tanuki is sleeping there.”
That fucking ugly doll Ouma traded with a kid?! “Seriously, you make a doll sleep there while you're…” he looked at the thin blanket covering the floor and the single pillow. He stared at Ouma in disbelief. “...sleeping on the floor.”
“Yup!”
Kaito’s eyes narrowed. What was Ouma's angle here? What is he planning to do? Kaito had no idea why the brat was doing so far like this. Was he here to molest him in his sleep? He shivered at the thought, and it wasn’t an excited one!
Ouma let out an exaggerated yawn, stretching his limbs as far as he could, and lay himself on his makeshift bedding. Eyes shutting down. “Night, Momota-chan.”
He glanced back at Ouma, examining his soft features. Ouma is a boy but he admitted Ouma is pretty like a girl when he isn’t up to his mischief.
Kaito did not like boys; it was an objective observation.
Ugh, thinking about Ouma only makes him more frustrated. He scratched his scalp, feeling suddenly all the more tired than before.
He lay himself on the sleeping bed twice more comfortably than where Ouma was sleeping. It did not take long for Kaito to join the sleeping land.
something a little different and my original fantasy fiction, linked to Rachelia and Neret
---
Rachelia stared at the bed, the sole bed in the inn room.
She cursed the rest of the group for insisting she take the room with the Prince, well, son of the former emperor given his birth outside of the marriage and without the empress’ knowledge or acceptance.
Humans really were weird, she thought but kept the fact to herself, as the only non-human in their strange collection of companions they had formed she would be the only one with that opinion.
A child is a child in her culture, her people lived too long to concern themselves too much with the start of a life and with who slept with who, even in her family as the oldest bloodline and rulers, where their blood was different.
“I’ll take the floor.” Magnus offered, making her roll her eyes.
The reason they took the inn room in the first place was to ensure he was well rested, it was up to him to summon the memory of his ‘god-bloodied’ ancestor at the tomb tomorrow as they could be lead to the remains and take a piece to prepare a weapon against the banished first light, Baluco.
“It’s fine,” she sighed and started to untied her armour, it wasn’t quite what she had grown up with, her people rarely shared their steel-vines but it was adequate and she had grown used to it. “we’ll share.”
“You're a princess.” he tried to argue, hand frozen on the front of his robe, a lingering mark of the priesthood he had been living before the cult's plans had wiped out the human’s imperial family leaving the bastard born Magnus.
Humble, intelligent and kind he was a good choice for king-emperor at least, not that it would affect Rachelia since as soon as the crisis was dealt with; cult defeated and holes to the void sealed, she was returning home, across the sea and plains to the eternal forests her family ruled.
“And you're a prince-” she stated before correcting herself “the emperor.” she reminded him.
“I can’t allow you to take the floor.”
“Then we’ll share.” she told him, unashamed, he flushed red but clearly knew he would lose any argument against her as he gave in.
‘Humans were truly strange beings,’ she noted as he undressed looking strictly at the floor ‘interesting and amusing’ she thought moving a hand to cover a growing smirk as she saw how far the blush traveled.
Hours later , she woke to a noise in the room and caught the assassin creeping closer, she had to give it to the group sending him into the inn alone would have been a bad idea but still she cursed herself for the idea of sharing with the human’s arm heavily draped over her.
Thankfully she was never without any weapons and her aim was true.
He didn’t wake at the sound of the would-be assassin dropping to the floor, instead he grumbled lightly in his sleep and curled around her further.
She gave into the warmth and allowed herself to enjoy it.
Gale sips his tea as he hears an annoyed tapping nearby. How much longer until he gives up… Shortly after, Laurent heaves a frustrated sigh before walking over. "Gale."
"Yes, my love?" Laurent frowns, but Gale notices the uneasiness in his eyes. After all these years, he's still like this. Adorable. "If there's something you want, you merely need to take it, Reyna."
"Take it? I'm not sure what you mean."
"Yes, you do." Gale sets the teacup down before standing up. "In fact, I dare you to. See how far you get."
That was all the invitation he needed.

[Poor Laurent, always an anxious one—he doesn't want to make Gale uncomfortable. (I'll probably explain more sometime but this isn't the right place lol). Thankfully, his husband is understanding and always reassures him of his worries, even after decades of marriage. They're too sweet.]
