Character in general: Tbh, I really liked Haru, esp from the first season?? I don’t know, i’ve always kind of admired him, and he’s kind of someone i want to be???? like quiet and reserved but also independent and can make choices for himself all that.How they play them: i love the way they play haru tbh!! i often read their threads just because i’m scrolling through the dash and ahh <3The Mun: i loVE YOU k AEL, just thank you so much for being there with me when i need it. i know i’m a butt with problems but i’m glad you’re there to listen to them ; w ;

After swimming along the currents for most of the day, the merlad found a shore to stay near for the night, and searched for a hole in the cliff that he could wait for morning in. Once he found a cozy spot to share with the other fish and a small octopus, he set his possessions down in a pile of rocks and tried to doze beside it. Unfortunately Makoto woke before dawn and the water was almost completely dark, which was unpleasant. He didn’t see any small or colorful fish nearby and the octopus was still resting in a cranny of the cave. Makoto decided to take a short swim by the beach and enjoy the moonlight.

He drifted along the shore, occasionally breaching carefully, and noticed that there was a castle on the land. He breathed in some of the air closer to the land and tried to smell if there were flowers or if the humans had created something aromatic and pleasant. The merlad couldn’t smell anything particularly different. When he swam back towards his temporary bed, he saw a sparkling slightly deeper in the water and swam towards it. 

As he got closer, Makoto approached more warily. But when he realized that the sparkling was of another merlad, he hurried to the other’s side. Makoto was happy to have found another friend, one that he was similar to, but when he shook the other and found that the merlad was unconscious, he became worried. He tried more to wake the other before lifting him carefully and bringing back to the small cave. He set the merlad on the flattest rock and surrounded him with stones from his pouch, ones he thought were magical, and laid a necklace that he’d gotten from a human on the merlad’s chest. Makoto listened to the other again for a heartbeat then curled beside him and fell asleep again.

Like I said, it just makes a lot of sense! At the most I could see him as demi, if anything, he wouldn’t be sexually attracted to his partner without a very deep bond being developed first.

HE'S my fiance? - arranged marriage au with fluid-haruka

Makoto sighed to himself as he was practically pulled along by his mother. She was overly happy today, and Makoto knew exactly why. She'd arranged with a friend of hers and ended up arranging Makoto's marriage. How did he get suckered into this again?

'Makoto! You're not engaged yet? Not even a girlfriend? I'll be old and grey when I get to see you walk down the aisle!' Hiyori Tachibana questioned, pacing back and forth as Makoto sat on the couch, sighing to himself.

'Sorry mum... No one's just caught my eye yet... I'll get married when I meet the right person...' Makoto apologised. Hiyori stopped in front of him, hands on her hips as Makoto looked up at her.

'Alright, we're going to go meet a friend. They have a child close to your age called Haruka. You're going to meet Haruka, and if you don't find someone before you turn 25, Haruka will be your partner, okay?' Hiyori stated, smiling to herself, overly pleased.

So that was how Makoto had gotten sucked into this. Just what kind of girl was Haruka anyway? Was she one of those snobbish rich girls that wore too much make up and skirts that barely qualified as a napkin? Or was she a bookworm with ugly big glasses and sat in her mother's basement reading books and typing on her computer, probably hacking the goverment's database at night?

"We're here!" announced Hiyori, beaming a smile at Makoto as they arrived at the front doorstep to the Nanase household.

Sousuke knew he was early but that just meant that he was able to grab a better seat. The restaurant was very nice and homey inside, the warm colors making Sousuke feel more at ease as he listened to the dull roar of the room around him. There were individual sounds that he could pick out, a baby's laugh, it's mother's sigh as she wiped off her child's face... It just made him smile as he waited for the stoic raven to get there.

He loosened his tie and sighed in relief, more than happy to have gotten out of the office. As such, the soft lighting was definitely welcome on his tired, overworked eyes. The waitress had set out two menus for him as he waited, sipping the glass of ice water he'd gotten, the sides wet with condensation.
