My one wish for the Vesperia re-release is to get people onboard the Flynn x Yuri x Estelle train. We have that one really good fic but I want more.

When the game first came out, poly fics were thin on the ground. Now? It's the era of Ao3 baby.

When I’m not shipping Yuri/Judith, my favourite dynamic is aroace Yuri who allegedly has his own apartment somewhere but for some reason is just always at Flynn and Estelle’s place.  Like Flynn wakes up in the morning and goes to get coffee and sees Yuri sleeping on the couch.  He doesn’t remember Yuri coming in last night, but, whatever.  

Yuri’s the perpetual third wheel in their relationship but the whole thing is a tricycle the third wheel is a natural and beloved part of it.  Actually it’s basically just me shipping Fluristelle but with my preferred dynamic of Yuri being no-romo with both Flynn and Estelle.

Flynn is the sun, Yuri is the morning star, and Estelle is the full moon.  However you ship it, the symbolism is beautiful.

Sun and stars?  The same thing, really.  A star is just a sun that’s far away along a different path.  

Morning star and the full moon?  Together in the night sky.

Sun and moon? Twin heavenly bodies, so alike in shape, rising in parallel to each other.  

And the OT3: Sun, moon, and stars, each unique but syncing perfectly with the others.

I love Fury Sparks as much as the next person but if Ring a Bell is meant to be focused on Yuri and Flynn’s relationship, then wouldn’t it make more sense for the fight between Yuri and Flynn to use a remix of Ring a Bell as BG music rather than the fight between Yuri and Estelle?  I mean... the remix of Ring a Bell is literally titled “Estelle’s Theme”.  That kind of muddies the water on who exactly the song is meant to be associated with.  

Unless... it could be about both of them because Yuri Has Two Hands

Out of her whole group of friends, she chose to specifically call out to only two of them... presumably, the two she feels closest with, the two she depends on the most, the two she was most elated to see come for her :)
