She laughs softly at his joke, almost forgetting that they shouldn’t seem too chummy. It’s easy to remember exactly why they had attracted one another in the first place, finding rapport between them to be easy. “I won’t tell a soul,” she promises, smiling as she lifts her glass to her lips. “I’m trying to be a little punny. You probably should have laughed.” She doesn’t seem offended that he didn’t, though, draining the last of her wine. “Oh, I do like taking pictures of all of those things…of everything, really. It’s just that, like…my profession is event photography.” She looks around, her nose wrinkling. “I ran out of excuses for this one, but I’m hoping I can find a reason to skip the next. Unless…” She lets her eyes sweep him up and down. “I might get to see you again?”
Calm, collected, hard to read. All these adjectives have been used to describe Connor, and it’s a practiced art form to appear put together that he takes pride in. But it comes with the hefty price that it also means he can be perceived as stiff and a tough nut to crack. He shakes his arms as if that will remind him to loosen up, sheepishly smiling at being called out by Vivian. “Sorry, that pun was almost akin to a dad joke, and I’m used to keeping a poker face at those so I don’t groan all the time during my dad’s speeches.” His grin softens, morphing into something almost boyish as dark eyes roam over Vivian in turn. “Far be it from me to keep you from making that bag, but...I tend to always be in attendance at these things as the ever-dutiful son, so...should you ever find yourself stuck at one of these events...” He trails, leaving the finishing of the thought implied in the air.
