Twenty degrees in January
Hello you.
As you might know, I started this tumblr in 2013 when I lived and worked in China. Back then the main reason for this page was to keep my family and friends updated. I would like to take the opportunity for a lil site note: China was pretty much not cool.
Anyway. Nowadays I am working as a buyer for a company which is one of the global players in the wind energy business. Therefore I have to travel a lot and on this tumblr I am writing about my experiences.
I visited more or less 15 different countries in 2017 (11 for work, 4 for vacation), most of them in Europe.
Traveling a lot means spreading many nights in different hotels and eating different dishes in restaurants you do not know that well. In my opinion TripAdvisor and other travel rating communities are too crowded. Instead of checking these communities I always ask some locals where they would eat. They know their city. This tumblr shall now become kind of a (business)travel wiki. All restaurants and hotels I visit will be rated by me. I will check if the restaurant is good for dinner with colleagues or maybe also a good place for dinner with business partners.
Right now I am on my way to Athens. This is my second international business trip in 2018. The first one has been to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in CW 02/2018.
