The classic question that a lot of music bloggers ask: "What happens if you combine the sound of this band with that one?" Well, here I go again: Combine Mac DeMarco with The Ocean Party and Kings of Convenience (new album out and will not disappoint any fans).

For me the answer was Van Houten, a Leeds UK based band that looks like they're still in high school causing trouble (think of the amazingly horrible Netflix series, Outer Banks).

They seem to understand the merchandising and slow rollout of music. Their last few releases have either been singles club related (Flying Vinyl...this one) or cassette ("Home Alone").
