My logical brain: FMA will eventually fade out within the next decade or so, which is terrifying to me now but I know that I’ll look back when I’m much older and still be fond of the positive influence it had on me at such a young age, especially regarding the beautiful messages it depicted within its core.
Brain Dumb: I will literally throw myself into the eternal flames of Sauron’s eye if even one more member of this fucking fandom outgrows this shit what the FUCK

Day 6: Protect
this one took me a few days, but I did it! I’ve wanted to draw this scene for a while now, but after looking at all of the detail I kept putting it off....which is also why it took me a while to complete this. I had to keep taking breaks. ahahah. I really wanted to participate in edwin week this year because it’s my first year in the fma fandom and fullmetal alchemist is the reason I’ve taken up drawing again. so thank you for making “Protect” one of the prompts! I may have never gotten around to drawing this otherwise. (=

If Love Should Count You Worthy (Chapter 1)
Almost immediately, he dropped his suitcase to the ground and swept her into his arms, embracing her so tightly, she thought he would never let her go.
And he didn’t want to.
Winry closed her eyes as she melted into his warmth and inhaled his earthy, intoxicating scent. He released her eventually but kept his arms hooked around her as if he was too afraid she’d disappear otherwise. “Hi.”
She latched her fingers behind him and smirked. “Hey, yourself.”
“I’m home,” he lifted his right hand and lightly brushed a few strands of her blonde hair out of her face before sliding his hand back down to the small of her back.
Winry leaned forward and tightened her embrace around him as she leaned her cheek against his chest, wanting to hear the strong beat of his heart. She closed her eyes and savored this moment with him. “Yes, you are.”
