@fmamanga I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED YOUR ASK I HATE MOBILE okay so. mxy. love him!!!! probably my actual favorite mdzs character even though he literally gets Zero screentime but i hear "gay and wants revenge" and i go apeshit bc that is the sexiest character archetype to exist. characterization of him varies but i tend to go for bitter, jaded, doesn't talk to people much, distrustful of others. this is mostly based on the fact that when i started writing him i unconsciously slipped into the voice of my main oc who is also like that, but i like it and i think it works well for him

the relationship between nhs and jgy.... unfortunately i haven't finished the untamed so i can't answer half your question but!!! i love to think about parallels between them and in a mxy-centric wip that i scrapped i had mxy be like "wow you two are just the same huh. both sect leaders who lie and scheme and manipulate to cover up their weak cultivation" because while nhs' motivations are 100x more sympathetic and sexy than jgy's and i think that makes a big difference, mxy does not have the context to understand that nor would he care i think. anyway it's really cool and i love tropes where mortal enemies are really similar. i also had an au where nmj and jgy knew each other for longer and jgy sort of helped raise nhs and doted on him so when nhs found out about the schemes he was shocked and betrayed. i've seen discussion as to whether jgy genuinely cared about nhs and wanted to avoid killing him if possible but the backstabby aspect to that makes me sad even if he deserves it :( and OH YEAH re: the untamed i saw that interview where ji li said that when nhs got a little blood on his hands picking up jgy's hat after he was dead that was the first time he actually got blood on his hands in this whole affair which is really powerful.... he started to feel the consequences of his actions a little. i don't think he regretted anything but he still felt them
