Filming for the first filming block (episodes one through four) of Shared Home has begun! Below, you’ll find the house and room arrangements and the tasks for the next three weeks. The first four episodes will revolve around the main cast moving in, meeting their housemates, and getting comfortable in their new home.

Please note that this post is quite long, but it is divided into information for the main cast and information for muses not in the main cast, so that you can find the information most pertinent to your muse(s).

Note: While the initial ongoing event announcement post stated there would be new filming blocks every two weeks, in order to give members more time to complete tasks, they’ve been changed to every three weeks.

As always for events, please don’t feel pressured to complete more than you’re able to. Main cast members are encouraged to try to do at least a thread or two per filming block, but you won’t be penalized if you’re not able to!

FOR MAIN CAST:

Out of character, no one had to be cut and all muses who completed both required steps were included in the main cast! In character within the universe of the roleplay, the cast was meticulously chosen and cut down from a large batch of applicants to be on the show.

Before shooting begins, each participant will sign the contract for the show and be provided with a few basic rules of living in the house. These rules will not be able to be broken as production will always be present or nearby and monitoring the set whenever cast members are in the house.

Pets of any kind are not allowed on the house premises.

Cast members are not allowed to obscure or otherwise impede the filming of the stationary cameras mounted throughout all rooms of the house excluding the bathrooms.

Cast members are not allowed to engage in illegal activities of any sort on the premises of the house. Such activities will be immediately reported to the authorities.

Dating and other such activities are not to happen on the premises of the house while filming.

Guests to the house are not permitted to stay overnight unless production specifically requests them to.

Shoot Week One:

At some point from November 2 to 7, all cast members for the main cast will have their first day of filming. This will be a solo shoot of them packing in their current residence for the “move” into their new home. While they’ll not be living in the house full time, cast members are expected to pack and bring things with them to make their living quarters for the show feel like home. One producer and a small camera crew will be present for this shoot.

Shoot Week Two:

On November 10, all cast members will arrive at their assigned house. They will arrive in the order listed above of the main cast in each house. This will involve a small filming crew and the cast members will meet and mingle with the others in their house. They will not yet know their room assignments.

Once everyone is in their respective house, they will be told by the producers they will having a meal together with the rest of their housemates for their first night to meet each other. Cast members will then get to work cooking in the house’s large kitchen. Cast members most insecure in their cooking abilities will be tasked with either pairing up with another bad cook, helping a more experienced cook, or setting the table. Cast members most comfortable with cooking are permitted to take the lead on figuring out the menu with the items available in the fully-stocked kitchen.

The cast will eat the dinner that was prepared all together. They will be filmed talking and will be prompted to discuss their concerns and hopes for living with the others. After dinner, they will each be given a card with a number on it from production. This card will correspond to the number on one of the bedroom doors in the house, and this is the room they’ll be staying in. At this point, cast members will move their things into their rooms and meet their roommates and ideally begin to get to know them. This will all be filmed and cast members will spend their first night sleeping over in the house. The next day, cast members are allowed to freely interact for the whole day (with some nudging from production for interesting interactions when necessary) and get to know each other better within the confines of the house. Filming will end at 11PM on November 11. As this is a day without music show filming, the only cast members allowed to leave will be CHARM‘s Sunny, who will leave mid-afternoon to attend CHARM’s comeback showcase.

Cast members may also be requested to stay at the house to film on the 13th through the 16th to get additional footage of interactions.

Shoot Week Three:

This is the shoot week that will take up the majority of the first four episodes. From November 18 to November 22, all cast members will be staying in their respective house (some may need to leave here and there for schedules) with the mission of planning a housewarming party in four days. Housemates will need to work together to create a menu, decorate the house, decide how they’ll entertain guests, and make a guest list. Filming for this segment will take place both within the house and out and about, where housemates will go out in pairs or small groups to purchase necessary items for the housewarming party on a limited budget provided by production. This whole process will be filmed in addition to more daily interactions around the house.

On November 22, the housewarming party will be held and filmed. House One’s housewarming party will take place from 9AM to 1PM and House Two’s housewarming party will take place from 8PM to midnight. Main cast will be required to attend the housewarming party of the other house, and special guests (non-main cast muses who attend) will be present as well. Both parties will be filmed in their entirety, though the larger number of bodies in the house will mean a lot of footage is obtained from stationary cameras set up throughout the house. The schedule for the housewarming parties is specifically negotiated not to interfere with idols performing on Music Bank that day.

POINTS AVAILABLE FOR MAIN CAST: 15 points

+2 points (up to 10 points total) - INTERACTIONS: A thread taking place during this filming block with a starter and at least three replies (starter ▻ partner reply  ▻ op reply  ▻ partner reply) by the end of the three week filming period is worth 2 points. This is valid for up to five threads with different muses (muses don’t have to be main cast or in the same house due to the housewarming parties).

+3 points - SOLO: Writing a self-para taking place at any point during this filming block by the end of the three week filming period is worth 3 points. (The shoot week one solo filming is a good fit for this, but not required!)

+2 points - INTERVIEW: Answering these short interviews (one after filming week one and one after filming week three) in-character is worth 2 points. These will be filmed in an area set off to the side of each house to be filmed with the cast members speaking directly to the camera about their feelings. These can be completed either as two short separate posts or put into one post depending on your preferred method, but both sections of the main cast interview must be completed to earn any points!

None of these will count toward your monthly limits for anything and must be completed and posted in the #fmdsh1 tag by Saturday, November 23 at 11:59PM EST to qualify for points.

FOR NON-MAIN CAST (CAMEO APPEARANCES):

Idols not in the main cast of the show will have a variety of opportunities to appear on-camera for this filming block. The following prompts explain each opportunity.

Opportunity One

Your muse has been requested to attend at least one of the housewarming parties on November 22, either by production or the housemates themselves (though all requests for appearance will be implied as a request from both). Management has chosen to have this opportunity added to your muse’s schedule and they will attend House One’s housewarming party (9AM to 1PM) and/or House Two’s housewarming party (8PM to midnight). Your muse has been requested to make an appearance at either one or both parties, but they will not be staying for the whole time at either so that guests can cycle in and out in order to keep the house from getting too packed.

Opportunity Two

Your muse has been requested to bring a gift to the housewarming party/parties in addition to bringing themselves. Typical housewarming gifts include items like baked goods, candles, plants, blankets or towels, art, etc., but your muse is allowed to think out of the box too, or even personalize a gift to a friend they may have in the cast. A good gift can steal the show as much as any main cast member and earn a buzz-worthy cameo, but a less exciting one is sure to still be appreciated.

Opportunity Three

Your muse has been requested to film a short interview for footage that may be used to help narrate the show as special celebrity guest commentary appearances.

POINTS AVAILABLE FOR CAMEOS: 15 points

+2 points (up to 10 points total) - INTERACTIONS: A thread taking place during the housewarming parties with a starter and at least three replies (starter ▻ partner reply  ▻ op reply  ▻ partner reply) by the end of the three week filming period is worth 2 points. This is valid for up to five threads with different muses (muses don’t have to be main cast).

+3 points - SOLO: Completing the above housewarming gift prompt in a self-para or headcanon of 400+ words by the end of the three week filming period is worth 3 points.

+2 points - INTERVIEW: Answering this interview in-character is worth 2 points. This will either be filmed in their company building after the housewarming party and sent to production or during the housewarming party.

None of these will count toward your monthly limits for anything and must be completed and posted in the #fmdsh1 tag by Saturday, November 23 at 11:59PM EST to qualify for points.

          he had received the envelope with his number inside it, gripping his bag from where he had placed it. duri had made his way upstairs, looking for the room that he would be in for the duration of the show (at least, whenever they’d actually sleepover.) nonetheless, without much of a hitch, duri found the third bedroom, opening up the door. it had remained empty of any sort of presence, assuming he was the first to make his way up to room number three. he made his way inside nonetheless, choosing a bed that was a bit closer to the window, placing his bag down. 

he was just settling into the room he probably wasn’t going to sleep in very often, but nonetheless, he was making it seem like they were going to, with himself neatly emptying the bag of some of the possesions to make the space a bit more comfortable. he hears the door open, his smile growing a bit as he looked over. “oh, rem? are you in this room too?” he said, the excitment clear in his voice as he managed to jump up and down a bit.

it felt weird having an entire house warming, it seemed like they really wanted to drive the concept home. ( and it was only strange because she didn’t a house warming party when she moved out. ) but it was something and kami found herself getting ready for it, taking the entire process too seriously. by the time the guest arrived, she was setting out a few side-dishes that she had just finished up. then there was another trip back upstairs, this time for touch ups. now when she came down, it seemed to be in full swing. 

it was her luck, just as she walked past the front door, it opened up. she took a few steps back, a little shocked ( even though, she should’ve known. ) but mostly thankful they didn’t hit her in the face. “hello and welcome!” there was a hint of excitement in her voice. kami was never an overly bright person but she didn’t want to come off dry, not with the kami’s around. “i should move so you can really come in huh?”

Open Starter for Shared House 1! ; HOUSEWARMING PARTY 9am - 1pm, Nov 22nd

youngjoo already likes the house, even if she doesn’t know who she’s going to be staying or rooming with. it excites her, just from seeing that house that was built upwards instead of outwards, the wide, natural light falling from the exterior of the wide windows and into the furnished house.

perhaps she’s one of the first--youngjoo all but thinks. the house is too empty, and far too quiet to have been occupied when she first steps in. its a houseparty, she had been informed of that when she received the very news that she was part of the cast of the Shared House reality program. 

its perfect--youngjoo sighs in appreciation, kicking her luggage swiftly into the house as she tries to close the door at the same time. she doesn’t mind the cameras, unlike most people. in youngjoo’s eyes, they’re simply...cameras. there was nothing special or invasive about them. but then again, she’s been subjected to such scrutiny for a long while, so its not a surprise that she’s comfortable in the presence of media filming her. it barely takes five minutes for her to change into a pair of comfortable shirts and slacks, and the silhouette’s leader hums loudly a strange random tune as she bustles about in the kitchen, mixing various tunes and notes together, trying to familiarise herself with the utensils, and where exactly everything has been put. 

she’s quite sure that her cooking skills would both be put to the test here and needed as well, and there’s nothing better than to familiarise one’s self with everything that was present in the kitchen. it saved time, even if it wasted braincells. youngjoo yawned slightly, covering her mouth as she blinked for a moment or two, her fatigue from staying up excitedly for the entire night finally taking its toll on her. 

its has such a detrimental effect that youngjoo doesn’t even hear the door open as she starts preparing some food for the housewarming party, her luggage still neatly nudged into a corner by the wall.

“oh!” she belatedly realises the someone has entered, just as she is half way through washing the chicken. its not a glorious look, she admits--holding a chicken and trying to cook it. in fact, she tries not to laugh, since she thought it was rather funny. “ahhh, i guess i mangled my first introduction by appearing to you while washing a chicken.” she grinned. “i’m youngjoo, by the way. silhouette’s leader.” she bowed slightly. “its nice to meet you, and i do hope we get along.”

open starter ! set: housewarming party at house one

joohwan had underestimated how much socializing would take from him today. his comeback was just around the corner which forced him into going to the company every single day to practice not only for that but for the end of the year stages origin was supposed to perform. his days were a mix of practices and meetings, taking up his every waking hour and when he finally had a free morning, he was expected to be attending a party. hwan wouldn’t have had much of an issue with that wasn’t for the fact that there were cameras around, which meant he was supposed to behave above all things. which, sadly, included not being able to go out for a smoke whenever he felt like it. what was silly since he wasn’t even part of the show but — not like the production team would care about that argument.

he had to discount his frustration on the second best option which meant eating the very same cupcakes he had brought as a housewarming gift. hwan was willing to lie and say he was mostly responsible for them but really, if it hadn’t been for his grandma’s helping hand they’d have come out as a mess. he’s biting into his second one, tongue darting out to lick at the chocolate that drips, when someone else reaches for the rest of the cupcakes. “ don’t eat it if you’re allergic to cinnamon, i had to put a little bit in when i was baking to add some flavor, ” he licks at his fingers, turning to the person. “ and if you don’t like chocolate you might as well just walk away. ” perhaps joohwan’s a little bit protective of his cupcakes.

after her brief interaction with her own group member, all suji really wanted to do was go home, but she’s only been around for about thirty minutes. gold star would definitely say something if she slipped away now. looking around the room, she hoped to find someone else she knew or at least could feel comfortable speaking to. suji didn’t really have too many friends in the industry, and it was moments like this where that became apparent. 

spotting a familiar face, she quickly scurried over to duri, tapping him slightly on the back. “i’m so glad to see you,” she let out in one breath. she hoped the look on her face didn’t seem too desperate, but she really was glad to see someone that she was at the least acquainted to. “i brought food, but i wasn’t sure where to put it? do you mind showing me? it was more of an excuse to get out of such a crowded room, but really, the food was getting a little heavy, and the bag she brought it in was hurting her hands.

When Ahreum had first asked him to watch over Juju while he was going to be busy filming Shared Home he panicked and wondered if Ahreum was really okay with him looking after Juju. It took a lot of convincing for Junsu to finally agree and he is very thankful for his boyfriend's patience in helping and teaching him of how to take care of Juju. He feels he would had been a lost cause if he didn’t get any sort of guidance. 

Now he was here at the housewarming party and was grateful he was told to come on the day where the party was for House Two, which was the one his boyfriend was in. He was a bit disappointed that he couldn’t stay the entire time, but spending time with Ahreum was better than none. He was going to make the most out of it before he has to leave so other people can come in. They managed to find a place to hide from the crowd and spend time to themselves. Junsu had decided to show Ahreum pictures of him and Juju before moving onto videos he filmed of the parrot and him together. “Sunshine, I’m very grateful you convinced me into looking after Juju because I feel like Juju and I really bonded. I had all these worries that Juju may not like me if I screwed something up since he’s used to you taking care of him, but I had nothing to worry about like you told me.”

joosung gazed up at the tall walls of decoration towering over himself with a gaping mouth. perhaps he should have minded his image more, but he truly didn’t expect the store to be so large. hopefully they’d be able to find the things they wanted. well-- at least what he had been thinking of. sung wasn’t all that sure what kind of decorations yena liked best, but of the housemates, she was one of the ones he wasn’t that close to, and he wanted to amend that. when the opportunity came to pair up to go buy decorations, he didn’t hesitate to ask yena if she’d like to come with him.

“um, do you have any ideas about decorating? i thought, it might be fun if we had a theme for each floor. and nice bright colors, so it feels welcoming.” he picked up a bag with yellow streamers in it. “what do you think of this?”
