cool cool cool what if i explode
this is the first time heejae calls him "father" ever in his life and it's not even his father because his father is dead. the man who raised him and who shared all those memories with him died. they're just not the same person. but also they are. it's so obvious that he's him even though he's not. and now heejae is 20 years in the past and he's alone and he's bleeding and he's terrified he'll lose someone else and he feels powerless and he can't think of anyone else to possibly ask for help.
he's not asking the famous s-class hunter hong seongwon he's asking hong seongwon because even after everything even if it's different that's his dad. who else could he possibly ask when he's at his weakest? that's his dad.
if you or a loved one has read chapter 74 of the For My Own Good manhwa, you may be entitled to financial compensation
woo heejae having that "BITCH WHY THE FUCK DID YOU SAY YES" "I DON'T KNOWWWWW" style internal monologue
HE MAY BE STUPID.
have you thought of starting the novel for 'for my own good'? i heard it exists (although the name is different, 'i'll retire after saving the world' or something)
yeah for my own good is just the official english title (which, for once, i think i like better than the directly translated title)
i'm gonna read it eventually, but so far the manhwa is doing a really good job of conveying the emotional stakes, which i appreciate a lot and which i feel many manhwa adaptions fall short on, only relying on studio quality visuals rather than scripting and pacing.
i do wanna see how it measures up as an adaption, eventually, but i think i'll do that after the current arc the manhwa is on wraps up. it's doing a great job as its own thing at the moment.
change your passwort quickly omg gogogogogogo
