There is a popular fan "theory" that William Afton hates Michael. There is a lot of people that believe this idea to be a confirmed fact.
But this was never actually officially stated to be the case.
We actually don't know what William thinks of Michael, and this idea is basically all just head canon.
At most William might be trying to kill Michael in Pizza Sim(since it's never confirmed we are), and maybe FNAF 3(up to interpretation).
But the why is never stated at most in might be Michael possibly finally turned against his father, but we don't know that for certain.
Alternatively it could be because William is just a bad father as seen across various continuities, let alone the main one.
Overall, it is never been officially shown in the games that William hates Michael.

hey guys! I’m going for another ramble about fnaf so it’s probably just gonna be me switching topics? This will mainly be a GGY/Patient 46 ramble or beliefs
Or just me trying to cover Gregory’s possible backstories
So you know how Gregory is patient 46. And he leads his therapists to the pizzaplex(as it says in GGY tales from the pizzaplex.) to kill them?
I was thinking about how would he even kill them? I mean he’s short. And a child. I’m not saying he’s weak but what would you do if you see a kid walking around with a knife. (Wouldn’t be the best disguise after-all. Him being a kid just makes the disguise perfect.) Maybe he used Vanny’s method or something?
I’m talking about this scene right here. Where she says “dissemble freddy.” And as in the ending where Gregory dissembles Vanny, we know it can harm humans too. Plus, one of the four therapists mentions how one of Gregory’s councilors was found dead.
She mentioned that the body was messed up by machinery, as we see later on in that scene, Vanny gets torn apart by the janitor robots
Since he is a hacker AND a child, it kinda makes sense. I mean, being a child and stabbing a lady with a knife? She would probably have time to run away before i could even stab her again. Plus, in the book he uses an play pass that was hacked into a security pass or something. That’s how he was even able to get in to drag those therapists to their death.
Also, Tony mentions Freddy’s strange behavior in the book. I was thinking about how Freddy wasn’t affected by the virus. Maybe it’s because he was programmed to protect Gregory from any people who might be onto him?
There’s also the part of how Gregory broke out of control (Many people believe it’s the balloon boy game.)
I also thought about why the virus needs gregory anyways? Maybe it’s because he has a resemblance to C.C Afton. Hence the “Let me bring you back to your family” Chica quote?
Also, in the therapists tapes, one of the therapists mentions and inkblot test and gregory takes it. It talks about how it reminds him of a mask.
And the therapists mentions a disguise, and how he likes the idea of running around and being invisible. Which is true, no one would suspect a child murderer. (I was in denial when he was revealed as patient 46.)
There’s also the tape where another therapist mentions Gregory’s childhood. So we know he MIGHT be an orphan but, the therapist did mention him having a good childhood that Greg lied about.
There’s also the fact that he PROBABLY erased his parent records(got this part where Vanessa mentions him) And how (we know he has been to the pizzaplex before but Freddy doesn’t recognize Gregory in the guest list.)
And here’s Vanessa talking about the records
His backstory and background is interesting to me, is he an orphan? Or did that virus made him kill his parents? I find it weird.
There’s also the fact where in the story that “Rab” changed is, “GGY was the wizard’s favorite apprentice” It makes me wonder, did the virus get overprotective or something ☠️ and made him kill his parents?
where i found the line from (Tales from the Pizzaplex: The Boddiedots Conclusion Pg. 64)
It also mentions him having control over the animatronics too. (More proof of my fact of him using the animatronics instead of doing the killing himself.)
Then there’s also the part where Tony explains how “Rab” looked like a child. His shortness helped with that too(No fr he was twelve how short is he ☠️) Most of the girls thought he looked cute due to his appearance. (They mean he looks adorable)
Which this is something i find funny since apparently “Ggy” takes two year in the past before the whole Security breach? (Which makes him 14? SHORT☠️‼️) STILL NOT SURE IF THIS IS TRUE BTW..
And there’s also the fact that when Cassie gets killed by freddy, the way how she dies is getting shoved into his stomach hatch(LITERALLY HOW SHORT IS HE)
I also believe he doesn’t remember anything? He just has the natural instinct to run from Vanny/Vanessa. And he also struggles to remember his name.
Then there’s that instinct of not trusting Vanessa since he just knows something is up with her
Other then that, that’s basically all I have for today I would love to explain more but, i’m tired💪
But my main idea on who he us is that maybe the glitch trap virus saw C.C in him? And decided “This is my son now because im grieving my family. ☠️” And then made the boy orphaned and decided “mm yes my favorite disguise”
Hello and thanks to everyone who liked and reblogged this post. However, I am relocating the information on my Michael Afton is a pawn theory here. The reason is because I recently figured out how to make separate blogs, and I want this stuff on a dedicated blog I made for it. https://www.tumblr.com/fnafloreplus/734617302489808896/michael-afton-probably-wasnt-working-against
Casual reminder that the fnaf 3 minigame Sprites of Bonnie and Freddy have buttons when the fnaf 1 animatronics don't (even though if you go by the average timeline, they're the same design). Meanwhile, the WITHERED animatronics DO have buttons...
What if, and this is purely a hypothesis, what if the Fnaf 3 minigames happened BETWEEN fnaf 1 and 2?
Scott said 4 games, 1 story back then. It doesn't make sense for him to mess something like this up and then use this as an important plot detail
Like, this has to mean SOMETHING right?
Scott isn't clumsy
He only ever retconned 1 thing in the original 8 games
He meant something by this (maybe idk)
Also, like, it's never stated WHEN William died. He could have died a week before Fnaf 3, or he could have died 31 years before fnaf 3. We ligit don't know.
Quick Ruin Hypothesis: “Whispers of the Past Pointing to The Future?”
AKA My personal “Why do I hear boss music?” moment while trying to listen to Ruin’s audio.
Minor spoilers below, as always. Head’s up that this is going to be very slapdash because I have stuff to do irl in a few hours. There will be a character being tagged, though, just so certain fans can see.
So, let’s get down to business.
Ruin has these very faint traces of dialogue in these whispery sounding audio tracks that (if I recall correctly) play while Cassie is wearing the V.A.N.N.I. mask. And, to my surprise, I could hear Springtrap’s dialogue from FNAF AR in there along with potentially new voice lines... If my ears aren’t failing me and they’re all AR lines but spliced up.
The usage implies several things, I’m sure, but the ones I want to mention right now on are:
(1) William [or at least Springtrap] is still regarded as British in the game canon. British Will lovers can rejoice now. I know some of y’all were understandably worried.
(2) William’s presence is still here, even if it’s just echoes of Springtrap in some AR world.
That second implication is why I put “Why do I hear boss music?” in the first paragraph. Help Wanted 2 is right around the corner, and that game is having us go back to VR to complete Sister Location levels– Which, by the way, was the first game William got proper prevalence in the game canon.
...I dunno, I just feel like this whole Springtrap Easter egg might be foreshadowing for William’s final hurrah before Ruin in the timeline. Or at the very least a sign that Help Wanted 2 isn’t going to re-dub Scraptrap like I thought it would.
If not, then there’s gotta be some explanation for putting him in other than creepiness factor. Too bad I can’t decipher the more unclear lines right now, or I’d be all set with a bigger theory.
Again, be really funny if William was MXES/The Entiry but I’m not going to run with that theory. MXES’s audio has digital screaming for “whispering”, so there’s no hope for me getting answers there. Probably for the best.
I was also going to imply that Glitch-Trap’s gone so William’s ghost took his place but ehhh. That might be a stretch, given that we don’t know the timeframe of HW2 yet.
The day Charlie Emily was kidnapped and killed by William Afton is one that is debated by people. So here's what we know....
Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes seems to give us the information that Charlie would go missing 1982, with Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Fourth Closet telling us she was declared dead in 1983.
The page 213 of the Updated Edition Of Five Nights At Freddy's: The Freddy Files uses the date November 1, 1982 further backing this up.
This date is the same as the date we get in the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Movie, the main difference being Charlie's age and discovery.
So while it would seem like Charlie died in 1982 right? Well.......
In Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 in order to get the Puppet Doll for the tombstones you enter in 1983.
This seems to heavily imply to us that Charlie in the games was killed in 1983, as we know she would have been discovered immediately.
Now while the dates between the games is different from the one movie and Silver Eyes Trilogy, it seems to all being giving off one idea. That Charlie was the first, the wound inflicted first on Henry. The inciting incident that kicked off everything.
"A wound first inflicted on me but then, one that I let bleed out to cause all of this.".........
So yeah, Charlie seemed to have died in 1983 in the games, and also appears to the first inciting incident at the various location.

Michael Was Never Stated To Be Mike Schmidt For A Fact
Something I want to point out is that it has never been officially confirmed whether or not Michael Afton and Mike Schmidt are the same person or not.
In fact there is a lot of thing people assume about Michael that is never outright confirmed.
So before we get to addressing if Michael is or isn't Mike Schmidt, let's get into what we know about Michael for a fact.
First off we know he owned the Survival Logbook the scribblings inside of it make it clear this is the guy from Sister Location.
We know he is well aware of the supernatural stuff going on at Freddy's but feels crazy that nobody else ever acknowledges it. Which is why he relates to Clara from the Immortal And The Restless so much.
We also, know in spite of his knowledge the animatronics are possessed, Michael doesn't like the animatronics. Often depicting his destroying the likes of Freddy or at least putting him in a cage.
It is heavily implied Michael is working with William, which is backed up by the fact that the Five Nights At Freddy's 2 Movie parallels this by clearly showing Michael is William's accomplice.
Michael also might have eventually turned against his father in Pizza Sim, though this is never confirmed.
Michael via the Survival Logbook has been confirmed to have worked at Freddy's, which the movie also shows. But it is truly confirmed if we ever play as in in any games outside of Sister Location.
Speaking of which we know in Sister Location he is doing what his father told him to do and at the end of the game he states he is going to find his father as he went missing. While people believe he turned against his father in this moment the tone doesn't imply that at all.
So with all that out of the way is Michael Afton the same person as Mike Schmidt?
Well some people think this is the case as Michael's nickname is Mike in the Survival Logbook. But then again this is the same series that constantly reuses names such as Jeremy for unrelated characters. The same series whose creator keeps creating pigtailed girls.
So a shared name via a nickname doesn't necessarily mean they are the same person.
That being said there is nothing concrete to say they are the same person, and it's only fan "theories" that make people believe this is a fact. While using a misinterpretation of the pink slips to back this up.
So if anything Michael and Mike are likely not the same person at all and that wasn't the intention. Something the movie would back up/parallel as it has them being 2 separate characters.

Something a lot of people wonder is when Five Nights At Freddy's 4 takes place, both the main game and minigames.
Well......
In Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location you can enter a Private Room which belonged to William Afton. In this room you can find the Crying Child's Fredbear Plush and some monitors.
If you enter 1983 on the monitors you will get footage of the FNAF 4 house. This detail is heavily implies the events of said game do indeed take place in 1983. Both the minigames and gameplay.
The gameplay itself likely takes place inside of the Crying Child's head when after the Bite of 83. This is because of the flowers, iv bag, and pills can show up when playing this game.
This is also indeed the Crying Child and not Michael because is from the perspective of a much younger person than say Michael.
While the gameplay is in the Crying Child's head, it would have all been caused by William Afton actively sending the Nightmare Animatronics after the Crying Child.
Said animatronics are indeed real animatronics, Michael is aware of the existence of Nightmare Fredbear. That but also Fazbear Entertainment recreating the Nightmares, alongside the UCN lines also shows us they did exist.
Also, yes William did that to the Crying Child, truly father of the year. It's also why the Crying Child is likely not his favorite child.
The minigame sections with the Crying Child and the Fredbear plush would also take place in 1983 as they would lead up to the Bite, but before the Fnaf 4 gameplay.
So yeah, Fnaf 4 takes place in 1983, should be a no brainer but it kinda needed to be said.
