Less than 3hrs into his being here, FoBro (Foster Brother who started living here 10 years ago while attending high school - he is now 25 - and has returned to stay month while studying for his GREs due to ~reasons) has already brought up the debate on same sex marriage. It started as an issue of whether it should be a Federal or State issue and well, devolved very quickly... And here are some precious gems he used in his argument against it. "I think some of them are just pretending to be gay. Especially women." "They are just confused." "I mean, yeah, if it's a guy trapped on an island with another guy something is going to happen but that's because of the situation not because they are really gay." "People are jumping on the gay band wagon." "I have a few gay friends. Well, gay acquaintances." "Do your gay friends still face descrimination on the streets of major cities like New York?" "But don't you think reproduction will plunge if gay marriage is universal?" No yelling happened on either side which is a big shock but seriously? ... It's going to be a looooooong month, friends. Pray for me.
