[ Focus of the week: Meal Prep ] . Another ((huge)) part of consistency and consistent success is meal prep. 🍴 What, when, and how much of the foods we eat DIRECTLY affect losing body fat, gaining lean muscle, recovery, and energy! . I realize just how daunting it might seem to go from 3 (sometimes only 2!) meals/day to prepping #aheadoftime 5-6 meals!! It's a common hurdle I've worked through with so many of my clients...so here's my approach! I'll be posting it in weekly sections, just as I would ramp up a client 😊👌 Are you ready?! [ Week 1 ] . [ STEP ONE ] • Self-assessment. How many meals/day are you eating on a regular basis? What 3 areas do you feel need the most improvement? (eg too much soda, sweets, take-away food too often, consistent during the week but weekends not so much, etc) . [ STEP TWO ] • Choose 1 area of focus for Week One! This week you might choose to focus on less pre-prepared meals. Awesome! . [ STEP THREE ] • This part is maybe the most CRUCIAL. Your #mindset is ready: you're willing to sacrifice and suffer. Ready to give up ALL sweets or take away meals for however long it will take to reach your goals. ... I totally admire your drive, but let's keep taking this one step at a time 👌 Ex: Buying meals 5/7 days? How about making that 2/7 days? . Drinking 3 sodas/day? How about one a day? . The goal here is to choose a focus that YOU are willingly making, and then to make a change small enough to guarantee success, yet big enough to make a difference. A difference that will be long lasting. #TrueChange . For those of you that have already begun meal prepping, this could be applied to... - consistent meals on the Weekends - meal prepping more variety - consistent supplements (just as important as the timing of your food!) . Tell me your goals and focus areas in the comments! Follow for the weekly update, and let's see how many of us can ramp up to meal prepping consistently! Rules and which ones are the focus of the week (or aaaaaaaarrrrrrghhhhh!)
One of the banes of my life (and there are so, so many), is the enormous hypocrisy that is present in the SMT at the moment, and that have probably been present for as long as Mr Green has been at the school. Today, as with quite a few days, I went, along with my friends, to the top of the stairs to the Art department. Now, we have been doing this for quite a few months, to only mild resistance from the Art department when we make too much noise, which we curb immediately, of course. But just last week, we got moved on, by Mr Green himself, no less. We got asked to pick up the dinner plate that got left there about 2 weeks ago that the janitors haven’t bothered their arses to pick up.
Now, I understand that the janitors are grossly underpaid and are expected to do a lot, but that is just an enormous oversight. It wasn’t that that bothered me though. What bothered me was the fact that when we all went to the lockers, which wasn’t in the Social Space, but we had P.E and we needed our kits. After following us from the stairs, he rounded the corner and shouted “My office. Now!”. At this point, my friend Jenny asks the question “Sir, is it true that girls are not allowed to bring hairbrushes onto school grounds?”, at which point he replied with a grunted “yes”. She then asked the perfectly the reasonable question “Then why are we being pulled over the coals for this when every girl in school has a hairbrush in their bag?” She then got a detention for “Talking Back”.
This got me thinking. Maybe I should write an anonymous letter to Mr Green and the rest of the SMT detailing the blatant rule breaking that is going on in the school at the moment. I think they will appreciate it as it gives them an excuse to crank the magic “demerit” machine to every child in the school for something that they had no idea was against the rules. That should give them some job satisfaction amid all the shite about the Curriculum For Excellence.
