It’s been months since I’ve been able to breath. There are times in life when I’m grateful for having played so many sports. Sports taught me to keep pushing through the pain, the fear, the unknown. Keep waking up, keep digging deep to find whatever strength I could muster to get through the difficulty of the day ahead. I kept reminding myself, FOCUS ON NOW, don’t take it ALL on at once. Make lots of lists, tackles 1-3 tasks at a time, cross shit off those lists, and keep milking that adrenaline, that cortisol, to keep your body in motion. And most importantly, focus on the joy of your end goal, and that joy will fill and fuel you in the now, as if you already have it. That joy will unleash a magical extra reserve of strength that you couldn’t possibly have left and it will carry you. . Have a lot of sex with your partner to stay balanced, connected and grounded to this earthly plane. Find ways to laugh, to be in awe, and to be taken with wonder through the process. And this one is HUGE...., look for the signs, the omens. My spirit animal literally guided us here the whole way. Whenever I felt doubt, with angels wings I knew we were being guided. . This moment in the snow with my family is the joy I’ve been reaching for. And it’s here, and it’s now. Take the lessons from your past, but don’t let it own you. We as human beings tend to let our past rule our present - that’s a dangerous and counterproductive thing, especially when it comes to personal growth. Your past does not define you.
