aww poor thing :c Well I'm crossing my fingers that the local starbucks will be understanding! Most people know that young people got a lot of shit going on. Best of luck dude! Apply again you'll be alright. 6 years is a ton of experience!

when i worked a the cafe i hated it bc i had to get up at 4am and was treated like shit, but i liked making drinks and stuff

yeah i've only been working at my bakery for 8 months and i'm already getting burned out on all the early shifts. i can understand not wanting to go into food service again. maybe you could look into some reception work? or maybe another newspaper?

i would try another newspaper but all the papers around here are owned by the same evil-devil company that laid me off so that’s probably a no-go but all i can do is try

(oo just saw that you didnt wanna go into food service again) not all cafes are bad! but i understand food/bev is a pain in the ass... hm :\ I hope you find something!

i’m pretty sure i can deal with being a barista again, i just don’t want to /make/ food again

being a barista is a good trade skill; i'm not sure where you live but usually cafes are always looking for someone with tons of experience (coming from a fellow barista) Hang in there!

i almost got a job at my local starbucks but i took this newspaper job instead and the manager at the starbucks was super understanding about it so hopefully i didn’t fuck that up if i apply again
