From Apples to Zest: A Christmas Feast in Folding Book Form
The Advent calendar was first used by German Lutherans in the 19th and 20th centuries to count down the days of the pre-Christmas season known as Advent. Today they often include small treats for kids (and now for your pet too!) behind doors numbered for each day of the month of December.
In this miniature folding house, Christmas Dinner: An ABC Advent Calendar, each window and door opens to reveal a seasonal and entertaining treat for every letter of the alphabet (i is omitted) in alphabetical order--such as venison, brandy and marzipan!
This is copy 24 of 100, signed by the illustrator.
