I didn’t plan to take eight nine months off from work. Especially not after the amazing fall we had last year. Last night, while planning this year’s autumn road trips, I saw the images of the trips, two with Mark, one with Justin, and a couple solo rounds. We had the pumpkin stand here at the house. I even got to meet @KJP, the king of Autumn, and I finally broke down and bought Hocus Pocus on VHS. Autumn was amazing, exactly what I wanted…I have thousands of photos shot to share this year, but then, right as we were making the switch from Thanksgiving to Christmas the tornado hit and I spent the next eight months just lost in rebuilding and the stress of dealing with the mess at home. Social media and work went to the back burner on a stove that didn’t even have electricity most of those months. The derailment left me bitter, but it in the end allowed me to evolve life here at home, the rebuilding allowed for me to make this place my own. Eight months of therapy, of endless @andersoneast on repeat, and way too many hours cleaning things that should have been thrown away twenty years ago somehow left me renewed and with a fresh focus…so cheers to the Autumn to come, because for me it starts now.
