i need to call planned parenthood to see if i can come in and meet the doctor to start the road to going to the gyno and to see if they have support groups, but im so nervous... has anyone been to pp? i dont know what to expect (please tag #tiashetalks)

Do any of our followers have experience with Planned Parenthood?

? Anon who sent the list of stereotypes I don't fit into as a csa survivor. I think I really just wanted to get an admins view on it and maybe start a discussion around the topic? The thing is, in my head, what comes to mind as a survivor is the stereotypes I've generally been raised to believe and it really messed with my ability to see myself as traumatized & seek recovery. Outside of the community people have this image of what a survivor should look like and my reality is completely backward

A follow up to this ask

Yes, what society at wide, and specific communities view as what a csa survivor should look like are never educated and often lack empathy for those of us who have experienced abuse. 

And even intracommunity conversations can become very rigid. 

I’m glad you are able to start combating the harmful things you were taught and reach out for help. And please continue to know we support you and respect your struggle. 

So I hope we were able to help some~
