In honor of #FolsomStFair weekend, we'd like to highlight Hard Corps: Studies in Leather and Sadomasochism (Call #: 306.775 G923h) 

Published circa 1977 before the AIDS epidemic this infamous pictorial study and ethnography chronicles the practice of S&M in the gay and lesbian world.

I swear, San Francisco really has everything there! from earthquakes, to Roblox/youtube’s headquarters, comic con and even subculture themed events! but it’s part of California tho, so there’s probably going to be tons of crazy U.S rules like everything contains cancer and such.

I had suspected in the past that the whole “obscenity at Pride” thing people were going on about were actually images/videos from Folsom or similar events seen by people who’ve never actually been to Pride and assumed that’s what they were from. Having it confirmed that the recent wave of people discoursing about this was set off literally by that happening is just so affirming to my assumptions.
