THE GUY WHO DIDN’T LIKE MUSICALS REMOUNT RANT

- the telephone wire strangle during what do you want paul is so key as is easier to assimilate a new person when they’re dead. also their body language and off hand comments are so good!

- i love how there’s a blue undertone throughout all of this aka more pokotho however!! when they’re safe or aka when they’re “breaking through” and partially infected it’s a reddish lighting (like in hidgen’s basement during the beginning and the reddish orange with blue lighting in show me your hands) it’s such an especially cool detail that during tied up my heart there’s a mix of red and blue clashing, fighting, and sam’s body is almost entirely lit-up with blue while charlotte is blue and red (obviously ignoring the red of intensity and the symbolism of having them gain power)

- will branner is such a better professor hidgins he’s so much better at playing energetic characters. he also embodies so much more kooky professor which is amazing (also they’re so much more off-key in the singing 16 bars it’s so funny)

- not your seed is so so much better with its acting and singing and oh my god (again with the blue undertones outlining them mariah i love you so much.

- i love the PEEP talking about the cosmos and stuff after space baby

- SHOW. STOPPING. NUMBER. oh my god. amazing. their whole interaction between emma, ted, and hidgins is so amazing, and holy cow will branner is so good (again) at playing the professor. HIS FREAKING HIP MOVEMENTS. OMG. And the fact that his hidgins is so much more excited about it truly shows how hidgins accepts the invasion whereas it seemed a bit conflicting in robert manion’s version

- america is great again hits different but genuinely a pokotho invasion would be better than our current presidency /hj. i do also love that ted is completely turned instantly than that awkward standing and bleeding they did before, i think it helps the cohesion of the story

- also love the detail that all the assimilated eyes’ are wide open because technically they don’t need to blink

- THE METEOR HAS THE SAME HOLES AS POKOTHO’S MASK

- i love that in let it out paul’s body moves much more subtly in sync to the others because holy cow it gave me chills. he’s falling in line with the others rather than standing in the middle of them doing outside movement (PLUS HIS EYES GROW WIDER AS HE SINGS) also the “we will not be resisted” is to the tune of nightmare time!!! i think!!! either way it’s so much more musically and i love it

- also another note in inevitable is the blue light only came on when paul walked out!!! i also love that the backdrop rises enough to see the rest of the set, another tell that the whole thing is just a loop over and over!!!

- ALSO ALSO forgot to mention but the green lighting sometimes when there’s especially despair or distress hinting towards wiggly’s watching is SUCH A COOL DETAIL

- and the fact that they have the end credits be the first song meaning it’s the loop again!!!

Ik it’s the end of pride month

but why do people think that people attracted to multiple genders have their queerness just. disintegrate the minute their lips touch a person of the opposite gender

like biphobia has been put on full display with the “everyone deserves sunshine” trend when it comes to bi or pansexual people in relationships with the opposite gender (especially women) where half the comments are “you HAVE sunshine” or like “YOU ARE THE SUN!!?!”

just because someone is with the opposite gender doesn’t mean they still don’t like the other side???

One of the things I hate the most about homophobic / toxic fans of any piece of media is that they'll be like:

"Omg why can't two guys / girls just be friends like omfg"

But the minute you apply their own reasoning to any straight or cishet ship they'll get super offended and angry abt it
