🙋🏽‍♀️ would ya believe if I told you these arid lands of the @anzaborregodesertsp were filled with water and forests a million years ago? 😮 me neither! But here we are at #fontspoint for sunset views (which included a somewhat thrilling ride starring a truck and loose sand to and fro but I digress) and those canyons and peaks are a result of the erosion that eventually occurred over the years 😮😮 so what you now see are the badlands which are one of the driest places on the planet (I would know given the 100 degree temps experienced over the weekend) 😅 Now this view point is a great spot for sunset viewing as you can tell from the lovely hues (swipe left) and avid photogs with their tripods ready to capture mother nature’s beauty 💕 some folks even had picnics laid out for the event, and it is very much one if you happen to be there 🙂 #travelerandtourist #losangeleslife (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPomUYLjpqW/?utm_medium=tumblr

We drove through #AnzaBorregoDesertStatePark and stopped at #FontsPoint around sunset. These are the #BorregoBadlands. This is... definitely among the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. Best to take a high-clearance vehicle with 4WD because the road is a little sketchy. But worth it! We decided we have to come back some day & see it in better light!
